1. Jersey Shore

Never fist pumped before? Want to see a quick glimpse of Snooki? The jersey shore is the place to go. Besides the infamous show The Jersey Shore, there is actually a lot more to do down the shore (or "at the beach," wherever you're from in Jersey. Different boardwalks all over the shore, Ocean City, Sea Isle, Wildwood, Seaside, Point Pleasant, and much more. Besides Ocean City, most of the boardwalks include different bars and clubs that have exciting night life and entertainment. Ocean City and Sea Isle are mostly family oriented and include family based restaurants and entertainment that is directed towards children.

2. Atlantic City

Even though you may be saying "but isn't Atlantic City apart of the Jersey Shore?" Well yes it is! But it's a completely different experience! Turning 21? DO AC. Getting Married? DO AC. Got Divorced or Dumped? DO AC. Atlantic City is filled with casinos, bars, and different types of night life. For example, my own personal favorite is Harrah's Pool After Dark which includes a DJ that plays all night long, a pool where you can swim and dance, and also bars that surround the pool, just incase you don't want to swim at 3 in the morning. Besides Harrah's, AC is filled with bars, casinos, and diverse night life that you will definitely find the place you love best.

3. Adventure Aquarium

Adventure Aquarium is definitely a place you should visit in South Jersey. It's located in Camden, NJ but don't let that deter you! It's directed towards educating young children about sea creatures and is 100% aimed towards education. It's 200,000 square feet of marine and wild life creatures that include exhibits and shows, and virtual tours. If you are bored with your children or need an exciting field trip, this is definitely a trio you need to take.

4. Princeton University Art Museum

Although Princeton may be farther away than Camden, NJ, it is definitely an experience if you enjoy art. It holds over 92,000 pieces of art. It was founded in 1882 and houses a large variety of art ranging from antiquity to the contemporary period.

5. Storybook Land

Storybook Land was a benchmark during my childhood. Every child went there on e field trip, regardless of the daycare you went to. It's located in Egg Harbor Township, which is in South Jersey, by the shore. It opened in 1955, therefore it has had thousands upon thousands of children visiting each year. It's an educational and interactive amusement park for children.

6. USS New Jersey

If you're interested in WWII, the USS New Jersey would definitely catch your attention. USS New Jersey is an Iowa-class battleship, and was the second ship of the United States Navy to be named in honor of the US state of New Jersey. The Battleship can be open any day for a scheduled group tour, rental event and overnight stay.

7. Morey’s Piers & Beachfront Waterparks

Morey's Piers & Beachfront Waterparks us an exciting attraction that is a classic seaside amusement park. It is located on The Wildwoods' boardwalk in Wildwood, New Jersey, which is in down the shore in South Jersey.

8. Camden Waterfront

The Camden Waterfront has been a tourist attraction for years, even since the 1920's. Filled with copious amounts of food, green space, and a beautiful view of the Delaware river, the Waterfront attracts a large and diverse amount of people. As of March of 2016, Governor Christie has arranged for new plans to be created for a more updated Waterfront. The new plans will create jobs and lively hood for the city residents by creating fear stops, a shuttle to downtown Camden and Philadelphia, hotels, homes, shops, and restaurants. The idea is to transform from a doormat into a more new modern day exciting Waterfront environment.
