43 Products That’ll Help You Take Better Care Of Yourself This Year

A straw to banish hiccups, a water bottle to encourage you to actually stay hydrated, and a ton of fantastic skincare options.

    1. An alarm clock on wheels you'll quickly develop a complicated relationship with — it'll roll around, jump, shake, make robotic sounds and essentially just annoy you until you *finally* have to get out of bed, tackle it, and start your day.

White rolling alarm clock with digital display showing 12:25, set against a draped fabric background
Aqua blue alarm clock rolling on a carpeted floor

    Clocky is a small business!

Promising review: "My friends and family all know how terrible I am at waking up in the morning. Every alarm clock I have ever used has been defeated by my quick 'hit snooze button' reflexes. So much so I find myself rushing for the door more often than I'd like. All that changed when I found Clocky. CLOCKY WORKS! Clocky moves so I can't get comfortable or used to where the snooze button is placed. I easily carry Clocky to any room in the house I choose to get cozy, relax, and watch some TV 'til I fall asleep on a work night. I LOVE CLOCKY and highly recommend giving it a chance because you will fall in love with the results. I am now actively waking up at the original time I set my alarm to and also staying up so I can have a productive day. Get Clocky and save your day! ☆☆☆☆☆" —Valued Customer

Promising review: "TikTok made me buy it. This is great when you have a few bags and a box. For example, if you balance the bags, you can throw them over your shoulder and walk inside, and you have two free hands to carry the box, which is great. Product seems well built, and is comfortable on your shoulder or hand because of the padding." —Hung

Avarelle's pimple patches are formulated with tea tree oil and calendula, which is said to heal and shrink zits overnight. A single pack comes with 40 patches in a variety of sizes to fit any pimple you've got. I personally reach for these ALL the time. I'm lucky enough to really only get one major pimple before getting my period. When that bad boy shows up I simply put one of these patches on overnight and am always amazed by how much it's shrunk down by the morning. Also, Avarelle is a small business!

Promising review: "I’ve tried so many brands of pimple spots, and these are hands-down the best on the market. I’m a performer at Walt Disney World, and a clear complexion is required. Last night, I put these on a few acne problems (a small cyst, a whitehead, and a pimple I shouldn’t have picked and has been a bump for about three weeks now.) I just woke up and am writing this review in disbelief. THEY'RE FLAT! Gone! All of them! I could cry I’m so happy. The packaging is also ideal because it allows you to peel the stickers off conveniently and easily without stretching them out or folding them back on themselves. Do yourself and your complexion a huge favor! Have these on hand for a stubborn zit when you really need help. Make sure you apply them to completely clean and dry skin." —Caitlyn

Promising review: "This works so, so well for me. I have struggled with dry, chapped lips forever. I have had breakouts of perioral dermatitis that has affected my lips. I am also an anxious lip-biter. Lately, I have been trying to take better care of my skin, lips included. This is the first lip scrub I have ever tried. First of all, this stuff smells incredible and doesn't leave a bad taste on your lips. It is super easy to use. And I never see any dry skin on my lips after using it. I have actually been able to wear lipstick several days in a row which I NEVER do, because it always used to dry my lips out and look flaky. I will definitely continue to use this." —Morgan

Promising review: "I also ordered one of those book lights that you have to clip directly on to your book. I haven't even tried the clip-on yet because I LOVE THIS ONE SO MUCH!! It's so versatile. It is the perfect solution for when I'm up in the middle of the night and I still want to stay in bed and read while my husband sleeps next to me. Even when I don't have to worry about disturbing someone this light is still my go to when reading. It's better than any night stand lamp because you can focus this light directly on your book or other types of hands-on projects. LilyAna Naturals is a small business!

Promising review: "I have been using this daily for about eight months now. I am 60-years-old. It reduced the puffiness and bags under my eyes. I am Sicilian and had dark circles. It has brightened up my eye area. I am very surprised as I have paid much more for eye creams that have done so much less. I recently had precancerous cells removed at the bridge of my nose. After healing, I was left with a dark scar. The dermatologist told me that it would heal over time. Since I began to apply this eye cream, the mark has almost disappeared entirely. I shop constantly from Amazon. This is the first time that I have taken the time to write a review. That's how impressed I am with this product. If you decide to purchase this, you won't be sorry." —Lynda M.

My husband bought this over a year ago and it is actually unreal how well it works. A little goes such a long way (which is why it has lasted him over a year, even with my stealing it from time to time) and it really is quite possibly the most hydrating hand lotion I've ever tried. It's filled with pink grapefruit, orange rind, and lemon rind which gives it a very unique citrusy aroma that everyone should experience once in their life. BRB while I pause writing this post to search for a candle that smells like this...

Promising review: "I'm a huge fan of this product! I have been trying and chucking hand creams for years and this is the first one that has found a lasting place in my handbag. Promising review: "I absolutely love this sunscreen. I’m always wary of 'for everyone' tinted products because they aren’t usually made with us in mind. But this one hits the mark. It looks amazing on my brown skin. Non-streaky, no white cast. It gives my skin a subtle shimmer. The video and pics are in direct sunlight so you can see it in full effect. For reference, I have combination, 30-something-year-old skin. Glowscreen is officially in my skincare rotation." —Lovely91

Promising review: "I'm so amazed by Opalex No 3! Literally in just one treatment, I noticed a huge difference in my hair. My 3c hair had gotten very dry and damaged and was looking horrible. I can't believe the difference already in just one treatment. The number of compliments I got this week about how healthy my hair looked was amazing! I'm planning on continuing to do a weekly treatment for the next few weeks. It's expensive, and I used a third of the bottle for one treatment, but it's absolutely worth it! Nothing else has ever worked this well for me." —Michelle

    35. A moisturizing saline gel that'll help everyone and anyone fight the good fight against their biggest winter woe — a drippy, chapped nose.

For some added clarity, this product should be carefully applied under your nose and around your nostrils (not inside or up your nose!). It sadly won't get rid of *all* your nasal woes, but it will help provide relief from irritation and chapping (a gift in itself).

Promising review: "My girlfriend had recommended this product to me, and I only purchased a very small tube, not knowing if I would be satisfied or not. It really IS a good product. In the winter, my nose gets dry from the heat and humidity, and I need something to moisturize it. This product really IS excellent. I purchased a small tube, not knowing if I would like it or not, and I do. It's not costly, helps you, and is well worth the price." —SB

Promising review: "Initially, this small, simple, inexpensive product seemed too good to be true, but I am so glad that I decided to buy this product for my youngest son. He is now almost 25, but he has had chronic, annoying, and occasionally painful hiccups for as long as I can remember. My son has used this product numerous times since it arrived, and he reports that it has worked quickly and painlessly every single time!! Genius!" —Heather (Braiden & Laci's Bubbie)

Promising review: "This thing is awesome. I'm a small, not technical person, and managed to haul this thing up two flights of stairs (slowly), unbox, turn it on, and even connect my phone to the Bluetooth in it. No assembly. Simple instructions. Distance and time measurements seem to be accurate, but the 'calories' might be missing a decimal point. No squealing or groaning under my walking. Not too loud. Slides right under my bed. Didn't need to adjust the belt, though the tool to do so is included. Packaging says to oil every 30 hours. The remote is needed to make the treadmill function. It is extremely cheap — like dollar store cheap. I hope the company has a remote replacement for if/when the remote bites it. Even still, I would 100% buy this again. Great treadmill!" —Crowells

I actually did buy this for my best friend when she was starting to get so stressed-out about her daily migraines. It helped immensely! Basic Vigor is a small business!

Promising review: "I can't give this product enough stars! I have suffered from debilitating chronic migraines for years. Prescription medications, while effective, usually make me extremely tired and result in rebound headaches, so I rarely take them. This oil blend is especially great for the days when I have a migraine but am unable to stay home and rest. This takes the edge off the pain enough that I am still able to go about my day and do everything I need to do. I also love the way it smells. I sometimes roll it on my wrists just to enjoy the energizing fragrance." —Lacey V

It comes with an insulation sleeve, cleaning brush, and recipe booklet!

Former BuzzFeed writer Britt Ross adores this water bottle: "I am one of the aforementioned people who has, until recently, gone through life thinking, 'Why would I drink water when there are other beverages that actually taste good to be had?' Well, I received this gizmo as a birthday gift from my water-loving husband as a not-so-subtle hint to change my ways, and lo and behold, it's been a revelation. I often have lemon remnants left over from cooking and baking, and they're the perfect things to throw into the infuser section of the bottle to liven things up. It's amazing what a little fruitiness can do — I can guzzle a whole bottle easily! Plus, it's much easier to clean than you'd think (each section comes apart, and there's an included brush!), and there's a grippy section on the side so it doesn't slip out of your hand. Oh, and did I mention it has not ever leaked?! 10/10, no notes, buy it NOW!!!"

Promising review: "This water bottle is my new best friend! Really, I don’t leave the house without it. It’s helping me drink more water, and I love that I can use all the parts of fruit to flavor my water, no waste! The bottle is easy to clean, and the handle is perfect for when you have your hands full. Very happy with my purchase!" —Laura L.
