40 Things To Help Make You Feel Like You're Making The Most Of Your Time

The Instant Pot is in here, but hear me out... you'll want to thank me when you realize how much cooking time you can save.

We hope you love the products we recommend! All of them were independently selected by our editors. Just so you know, BuzzFeed may collect a share of sales or other compensation from the links on this page if you decide to shop from them. Oh, and FYI — prices are accurate and items in stock as of time of publication.

    1. An inexpensive item finder with four receivers you can stick to your phone, wallet, and keys to ensure you're never late for brunch because you were tearing apart your couch cushions looking for your latest lost thing.

four key fobs to attach to keys and a device to make them beep when an item is lost
    Amazon

Promising review: "I purchased this Key Finder and I liked it so much I got a second one after I gifted mine to my daughter (she always loses her keys and causes lots of problems with her husband). This vendor is the coolest ever and they will stand by their product, so rest assured that if you don't like it (can't imagine why) or if the product stops working this company has your back. This is a simple solution to find things, I have one on my remote, one in my wallet and my keys — three things I'm always looking for." —Blujaykat

Get it from Amazon for $17.99.

    2. A roll-on migraine stick to help nip your pain in the bud before it gets out of hand and ruins a perfectly good day where you were actually going to be on time for once.

    Katy Herman / BuzzFeed

Promising review: "I can't give this product enough stars! I have suffered from debilitating chronic migraines for years. Prescription medications, while effective, usually make me extremely tired and result in rebound headaches, so I rarely take them. This oil blend is especially great for the days when I have a migraine, but am unable to stay home and rest. This takes the edge off the pain enough that I am still able to go about my day and do everything I need to do. I also love the way it smells. I sometimes roll it on my wrists just to enjoy the energizing fragrance." —Lacey V

Get it from Amazon for $11.99.

    3. A collapsible Stojo cup that'll let you bring your fave hot beverage on your commute then simply squish it down and pop it into your bag without a worry it won't be able to fit. No need to stop at Starbs today!

    Amazon, amazon.com

I have one of these cool cups and have been really impressed with it. I recently used it early one morning when I was craving a cup of hot tea but had to run some errands. It pops open really easily, feels very durable, and keeps my drink hot.

Promising review: "Love this cup. I was originally turned off to it due to the size of the top section, however it's not as big as it looks online and it's the perfect size. It will fit most purses but not likely women's pant pockets. After filling it with water I shook the cup and there was no leaking. Even after I finished my latte and collapsed the cup there was no residue leakage at all. The cup didn't get excessively hot either. The cup also had mL markers on the inside which is wonderful. I highly recommend this product!" —HR

Get it from Amazon for $15+ (available in 3 sizes and 20 colors).

    4. A teeny tiny Magic 8 Ball you can use to make decisions quickly and stop dilly-dallying all the time.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I'm having a blast with this miniature Magic 8 Ball. It sits on the table by my recliner for easy access. With it, I'm now free of the majority of decision-making in my life which relieves me of any stress, anxiety, or uncertainty that might come over me at any moment. I no longer have to take any responsibility for my actions; I can just blame it on the 8 Ball. It fits easily into almost any sized pocket, so, if I'm going out, I can take it along and let it play the same role in my life. This ability to take my new decision-maker with me in smaller form is great! It's a nice return to my childhood, inexpensive, and a much-needed reprieve from the stress of our contemporary society. Everyone should have one and have some light-hearted fun!" —ALW

Get it from Amazon for $10.49.

    5. A portable blender so you'll be able to indulge in your delicious morning smoothie without fear of missing your train. Win-win!

    amazon.com, amazon.com

Promising review: "I love this portable blender! I work in a fast-paced medical office and I use this for my shakes in the morning at my desk and in the afternoon at lunch. Easy to clean. I only charge it once every 4 or 5 days. It blends really well although when using powder it can be a bit tricky but the ice helps that. I am very satisfied with my purchase." —Monique M.

Get it from Amazon for $31.44 (available in four colors).

    6. A Two Minute Mornings journal complete with gratitude prompts you can use to start the day off on a positive note but not take up *too* much of your time.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I am a grad student in a very strenuous program and I like staying busy that way. But on breaks, when I have too much time, I sink into nothingness. I didn't expect this book to do much, especially since I thought 'mindfulness' was some BS. Even if it's the same prompts every day, it's what you make out of the book. I like mentally checking off the three small accomplishments I held myself accountable for in ink, somehow the book is better than my Post-it note to-do lists. And the main reason for the five stars, it helps with my depression." —KellBell

Get it from Amazon for $11.21.

    7. A car seat gap filler, so you'll never have to fret about being late because you dropped your phone into a seemingly endless abyss never to be found again.

    amazon.com, amazon.com

Promising review: "I have to admit, my expectations weren't very high. I thought it was more of a joke when my husband got this for me for Christmas. Little did I realize it would be one of my most favorite gadgets ever! I don't know if I realized just how many things went missing in my seat gap. It has really saved a lot of things from disappearing into that black hole. It was easy enough to fit into my car and it's soft! It's just like an extension of my seat, except it fits every curve of my seat! There really isn't another product that compares to this." —Tessa Forbes

Get a set of two from Amazon for $24.99.

    8. A Revlon One-Step Hair Dryer & Volumizer Hot Air Brush to remove any unnecessary stress from your morning routine and have you out your door looking as fabulous as ever in mere minutes.

    amazon.com, Amazon

Promising review: "For background: I do not have hairstyling experience, neither have I blown dried my hair, and my hair looks like I went to the hair salon. Like many people I read the comments before buying, however after trying it, the comments honestly don’t give this product enough justice. I have curly hair and I’ve seen professionals mess up when blow drying my hair, but with this product I was shocked!" —Elizabet

Get it from Amazon for $41.99 (available in seven colors).

    9. An external battery charger that'll save you precious minutes. No more waiting around for your phone to charge before leaving the house — take this bad boy with ya'.

the anker charging bank charging a phone
    Amazon

Promising review: "Great power pack. Lost power in my house and of course my iPhone was door nail dead. Remembered this little gem and within 20 minutes my iPhone was at 100%. Not positive it was 20 minutes, it may have been less, point is it charges it faster than anything else has ever charged this phone. I am buying several more for family. This unit is small, smaller then a deck of cards, pretty light, rounded corners so it is comfortable in the pocket and did I mention it charges lightning fast? This is a must have." —Papa T

Get it from Amazon for $24.99 (available in four colors).

    12. An inexpensive cold brew maker you can use to ensure your iced coffee is ready to go the same time you are.

    Maitland Quitmeyer / BuzzFeed

Promising review: "I purchased this to make cold brew coffee at the office. My coworkers and I were going to the local siren at least 3–4 times a week for our afternoon pick me up. It was starting to become a serious drain financially. We all chipped in to get this pitcher and take turns buying beans. Get them ground for a French press, or super coarse, and you'll have a pretty good replica. The instructions for making cold brew are pretty easy. Of course you'll get some micro grinds that will make its way through the filter but that's to be expected. If you're particular about it, you could pour it through a strainer or paper filter. Or just let it settle and pour gently. We've seriously cut down our caffeine expenditures by 50-75%. Now if we could figure out a way to order out less :)" —DT

Get it from Amazon for $24.99 (available in three colors).

I am a visual learner and there is a lot of great eye candy among the pages to keep me engaged. There are also 'samples' of filled out charts intermixed which will very helpful. Cassandra's voice is refreshing to read and her strategies seem realistic to implement for me. Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "Let me start by saying this isn't my first cat-eye rodeo. I've tried the taping method, normal liquid liner, plastic winged stamping devices, stencils, all of it! Well, this gem arrived and I immediately had to try it out, all while laughing at how terrible this would probably turn out...but to my surprise I put the left cat-eye on first and it was perfect. I thought this was a fluke and did the right eye...again, it came out clean and perfect! I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE BEEN ABLE TO DO A CAT-EYE IN UNDER 10 MINUTES, LET ALONE THE TWO MINUTES THIS TOOK TO DO! There were no sloppy streaks that I had to touch up or anything you would expect. Just a clean crisp line. I can now do a cat-eye EVERY day and look/feel like a badass. Everyone can think I spend hours doing my makeup in the morning." —LadyMeow

    17. Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind concealer to brighten your under-eyes in a snap and help you disguise the fact your Sunday Scaries kept you up way past your bedtime.

    Kayla Suazo / BuzzFeed

Promising review: "I am a makeup snob. I have stupidly high standards for cosmetic performance, and drugstore brands have let me down every single time I've given them a shot. So when I graduated from Covergirl to Sephora after college, I never looked back. My kit is full of Dior and YSL foundation, Armani concealer, Benefit brighteners, etc. But this thing is truly great. The sponge applicator is better than you think. Firstly, it's antimicrobial, so you don't have to worry about the hygiene aspect. Secondly, its ability to blend the product is outstanding. The concealer itself doubles as a highlighter, it looks good without primer, and it lasts so much longer than you'd expect." —Sarita

Get it from Amazon for $4.33 (available in 18 shades).

Check out our full review of Maybelline Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Concealer here.

    20. Light dimming LED covers you can use to minimize distracting lil' lights that may be disrupting your sleep without you even noticing. Sleepless nights = delayed getting out of bed and rushed mornings.

    amazon.com

Promising review: "I had bought some cling film to cover my blazingly bright clock radio, and it solved that problem. But cling film won't stick to the myriad power buttons and lights on all of your electric products, such as the lights on your laptop and mouse, your night light, your power strip, your white noise or CPAP machine. All of those shine BRIGHTLY all night long with the specific intent of keeping you awake. And cling film won't help. You need something that will adhere to those buttons. The stickers in this ingenious product are perfect. The film is such that you can still see the lit buttons, but they are well muted and will no longer keep you awake. I have some lights that were so bright, I ended up putting two stickers over them and it worked beautifully. And even as low priced as this product is, they generously supply more than enough stickers for most people's use." —lvoigt2

This product can be used with JUST WATER to get literally all of your makeup off with zero skin irritations! I use it in the AM and PM and one rag will usually last me a full seven days before needing a wash. I have about three or four of these because I cannot live without them. My acne has become a lot better by using this as opposed to cleaners and crazy products for my skin. Who knew a clean rag and water could actually do so much?!?" —Nina Aristo

Get it from Amazon for $15.99 (available in a variety of styles).

    25. A canvas drink holder, a must-have for anyone (like myself) who prefers only to drink iced beverages, regardless of the weather outside. This will protect your precious fingers from getting too cold and will turn your morning coffee into a style statement.

Promising review: "I'm a chronic coffee forgetter. I can't drink it straight from the brewer (too hot for me) so I set my mug down to cool slightly and often get distracted. Of course I then come back to my coffee to find it's already cold. I've currently got the warmer at my office and it's working great. I can sip my coffee leisurely over the course of an hour and it's still nice and warm." —Elle

Read all about why the Instant Pot is changing how we cook in our full review of the Instant Pot.

Promising review: "Perfect addition to the Instant Pot family. This little pot does the same incredible job as its bigger brother and sisters. Great for making the side dishes or smaller main dishes. If you haven't gotten on board the Instant Pot train, do not hesitate! This mini pot even makes yogurt. The benefits to pressure cooking are numerous, using the Instant Pot makes it incredibly easy. Can you tell I'm completely smitten with this little appliance?! 28. And a spinning vegetable chopper that'll leave you with a salad that looks as good as the ones the Kardashians are constantly eating on the show.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "To be truthful, I didn’t expect much from this little chopper. I was pleasantly surprised. I chopped leftover thanksgiving turkey for delicious turkey salad. Handled it like a champ. Same with ham. Dices pickles, onions and celery without issue. It comes with a storage lid that I haven’t really needed yet, but it’s nice to have. Clean up is easy. Mostly I just rinse it out immediately after use and just run it through the dishwasher occasionally. DO NOT PUT THE PULL HANDLE TOP IN WATER OR THE DISHWASHER! I just wipe it down with a soapy cloth then damp cloth. This takes up so much less space than a food processor. I have a great one that has all the bells and whistles, but I never use it bc it’s such an ordeal to get it out, set it up and then clean it. I can’t speak to durability as I haven’t had it long enough, but for $15, how wrong could you go?" —catfish62

Get it from Amazon for $14.71+ (available in three styles).

    Amazon, amazon.com

Promising review: "For decades I've been going through contortions to zip up zippers at the back of my dresses or tops when my husband is not on hand to help me. But recently I bought a really cute, REALLY snug (at the rib cage) jacquard dress for an upcoming event that I will dress for alone at a hotel. When I first tried it on at the store, I had to ask another customer in the dressing room to zip me up and down...there was just no way I could contort enough to do it myself. But I wanted the dress. So when I got home, I went on Amazon to see what kind of zipper puller uppers were out there. I was hoping to spend $10-12, but after reading all the reviews I decided I had to have something that would not fail me. So I ordered the Zipuller because it had the best reviews and looked the sturdiest. It has worked every time I have used it. Even on that really snug dress. The zipper tab didn't come out of the clasp when I was zipping past the hardest part. Yay! I'm sold and won't be without it from here on out when I know I will need help." —Southern Gal

Get it from Amazon for $14.99 (available in three colors).

    Amazon

Promising review: "I have three sets of these and use them at home and at my cabin in the Rockies. They work great and power through walls. I use one to turn on and off a painting light that otherwise could only be turned on by climbing onto the fireplace and carefully reaching up and behind the painting to turn on. Why get up and stumble around to turn on a light?" —Lee

Get it from Amazon for $18.87.

    35. An automatic pan stirrer with a timer, perfect for any aspiring chef who tends to get a little absent-minded while following a recipe.

a pan with the automatic stirrer in it
    UncommonGoods

Promising review: "My husband loves to cook. We have two very small children, so while his meals are mostly yummy, they are also sometimes burnt. :) This was perfect for him. He's able to turn it on, run into the next room to save the day with a plastic bag and a washcloth for whatever blowout-esque mess I'm dealing with, forget he's cooking, run back into the kitchen frantically when he remembers, and arrive only to find the meal practically cooking itself. Best. Gift. Ever." —Jake the ChefturnedDaddy

Get it from UncommonGoods for $25.

    36. A bracelet fastener that'll assist you in all of your jewelry-clasping needs so you can say, "See, Mom, I DON'T need a boyfriend."

a model showing how the bracelet fastener closes a bracelet with one hand
    Amazon

Promising review: "I was surprised at how well this works. I have a couple of bracelets that are strung on wire and they are stiffer than a chain bracelet, thus making it hard to catch the jump ring with the clasp. This solved that problem beautifully. Now I don't have to wait to wear them until someone is around who can work the clasp for me." —JB

Get it from Amazon for $6.99+ (also available in a two pack and white or pink).

    37. A portable elliptical you can use in literally any room of your house — seriously you can sit on your toilet and exercise at the same time. A+ multitasking.

    Amazon, amazon.com

Despite its size, this lil' elliptical gets the job done! You can use it standing or place it under your desk to assure you get your workout in even if you're hanging out at home.

Promising review: "I love this elliptical! It isn't exactly 'portable,' but I was able to carry it to work on public transportation without killing myself. Setup took about 15 minutes and didn't require tools or more skill than Ikea furniture. It's completely silent and I have had people standing at my desk talking to me who had no idea I was even using it. I always tell them about it though and now several other people in my office have bought one. At first I was only doing 10–15 miles a day before getting tired, or I would find it distracting as my heart rate got up, but now I have the resistance at 75% and I can use it for 4–5 hours a day, logging up to 50 miles on average. I have found a sweet-spot where I can peddle non-stop and I always feel riiiiight on the verge of breaking a serious sweat, so I take a 30-second break every 10–15 minutes just to keep from ruining my make-up." —blac12

Get it from Amazon for $109.99+ (available in three colors).

    38. The Ring Fit Adventure game that'll combine the fun of exploring a fantasy world and battling enemies with an action-packed workout you can do without leaving your house. No more time spent driving back and forth just to get your sweat on.

I've also been using this game as a way to get in a workout at home. This may seem like a childish adventure from Nintendo, but JEEZ within moments I'm sweating my butt off. To play, you'll place a JoyCon into both the ring con and a leg strap so your movements are monitored. To move through each level you have to physically run in place and each time you "battle" an enemy you have to do 15 reps of an exercise of your choosing. For example, each time I complete a squat the enemy receives a "kick." It's so fun I don't realize I'm working out until the game reminds me to take a break and have some water. It even monitors your heart rate for you. It's more intense than you'd expect!

Promising review: "These cards are *amazing.* I love that I can schedule my workout week sensibly and safely — I really appreciate the tips on the backs of the cards! The calorie burn is accurate, if not a bit conservative. Lifting heavier will burn more, but the suggested burn is near perfect for lighter lift days. The HIIT and Core cards are such a nice bonus, too! My favorite part of this item is that I can do my workout at my pace without any annoying outdated music or chatting from a trainer, like you'd find on a DVD. I get burned out easily from repetition (as in, the same dry jokes or WOO! in a DVD), and have bagged MANY workout programs, but these cards are perfect for keeping me excited about my fitness!" —Lori McCarthy

Promising review: "I waited a solid three months before posting this review so I could get a good feel for this product. I considered buying this for a very long time and now I wish I would have done it sooner! I'm sure all cats and households are different, but this has been a lifesaver for me. I used to be able to smell the cat litter throughout the whole upstairs and there was clay litter dust ALL over the room it was in. Now, there is zero smell, zero mess and I barely have to do any work to upkeep it." —Brooke
