"We cook A LOT. I'm very controlling over my cookware, and my major rule is 'foil that pan before you put food on it.' Nonstick pans don't ever stay nonstick. Needless to say, we go through a lot of foil and parchment paper. I looked up silicone mats and chose these. They're so amazing! "I wanted a way to use my sturdy, but old, cookie trays without placing food directly against metals of unknown content. They have worked beautifully. Most recently, I broiled fresh Alaskan salmon atop one Artisan baking mat in a cookie pan (the pan has a good sized lip to prevent any spillage). The salmon was — better yet was the easy clean up. I wiped them first with diluted soapy water and a damp cloth, did a quick rinse with warm water and left to dry. Had only to wipe a bit of the fish oil from the bottom of a corner of the cookie tray. I had looked all over for silicone baking mats. These are exactly what I was looking for. — these are the best price around. Definitely recommend." —andromeda
"I originally thought I'd get these to help my cookies bake more consistently, but after using them for a while now, everything that goes on a cookie sheet, gets cooked on these. I like the way my food cooks much better when I use these. There is no sticking — everything from cookies and bread to fish sticks and chicken. Things cook more evenly, also, with no burning. My food tastes better and looks better. Cleaning is easy, too, and I greatly prefer washing these to washing my cookie sheets. They come clean very easily. A simple rinse usually takes any actual food off, then a quick wipe in the soapy water. Done. I can't speak to using a dishwasher, as I don't have one, but as quick and easy as it is to clean these mats, that really shouldn't matter.
