On August 5, Stevie Nicks released the first track off of her new solo album, 24 Karat Gold - Songs From the Vault.
Titled “The Dealer,” the new song is quintessential Nicks, a ballad where she reflects on the mistakes she’s made in the game of love.
She plays the dealer in a card-game, singing “Mistress of my fate / I was the card shark / If I’d’ve looked a little ahead / I would’ve run away.” The song was originally written in 1979, when Fleetwood Mac was writing Tusk.
