"The Gray Man" Is Full Of Stars – Here's The Cast And Where You Know Them From

Ryan, Chris, Ana, and Regé – sign us right up.

If you're a fan of action-packed thrillers, The Gray Man has probably been on your must-watch list for a while.

It's set to be Netflix's biggest budget feature film, and when I say they went all out, I'm not exaggerating – the movie takes place in more than 10 different countries!

The film follows Sierra Six, a once-anonymous CIA operative who stumbles upon some pretty devastating agency secrets. He was once the CIA's top agents, but after an ex-colleague puts a bounty on his head, a global manhunt shifts his priorities in a big way.

Sierra Six – Ryan Gosling

So Sierra Six is The Gray Man. He shed his real identity of Court Gentry when he was recruited from prison to become an Agency-sanctioned merchant of death, and didn't look back. 

Ryan's filmography is as long as Sierra Six's kill list, so he's done a quite a few action movies in time, from Gangster Squad to Drive. But his role in The Gray Man is worlds apart from what we saw of him in the likes of La La Land and The Notebook (though Sierra does have a soft side).

Lloyd Hansen – Chris Evans

No spoilers, but Lloyd's the one Sierra can thank for the bounty on his head, and he's terrifying and funny at the same time (but mostly terrifying). We all know and love Chris Evans as the wholesome, family-friendly Captain America, but if you've seen Knives Out, you'll know he's is a pro at delivering chaotic and unhinged, and that's what we get in The Gray Man.

Dani Miranda – Ana de Armas

Netflix

Agent Dani is a woman of mystery – yes, she kills, but she has a strong moral compass and wants to do the right thing. Ana reunited with her co-star Chris here, but Dani's very different to Marta from Knives Out. Between her performance as Bond Girl Paloma and her fight scenes in The Gray Man, I'm convinced Ana could actually take us all down if she wanted to.

Donald Fitzroy – Billy Bob Thornton

Netflix

Donald Fitzroy is the one who recruited the Gray Man many years ago, so with the tables turned, he's back to share some wisdom. Whatever genre you like best, Billy Bob Thornton's bound to have popped up in some of your faves – Love Actually fans will know him as the president of the USA, Fargo fans will know him as Lorne, and he's also the voice of CatDog's dad (bet you didn't know that).

Denny Carmichael – Regé-Jean Page

Netflix

Denny Carmichael's a big deal in the CIA world, and he takes things very, very seriously (look at the stare – that's some laser focus there). Regé-Jean Page got his big break as Simon in Bridgerton, and if Carmichael doesn't show you that he's got the range, I don't know what will. Get ready to see a different side to Regé's repertoire.

Claire Fitzroy – Julia Butters

Netflix

Claire's Donald's niece, and just as any action fan already knows, having a kid involves raises the stakes in a big way. At just 13, Julia's already set herself up to be a Hollywood powerhouse – she was nominated for nine awards for her performance as Trudi in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The Gray Man is her sixth feature role in what I'm sure will be a pretty long filmography.

Margaret Cahill – Alfre Woodard

Margaret Cahill's another espionage sage who Sierra Six turns to in his hour of need. I can't really say more than that without giving spoilers, TBH. When it comes to the acting world, Alfre's just as much of an expert – she's won Emmys, SAG Awards, and a Golden Globe, and there's almost no genre she hasn't tackled. You might know her best from Marvel, Love & Basketball, or if you love melodramatic '00s TV as much as I do, Desperate Housewives.

Laszlo Sosa – Wagner Moura

Netflix

Laszlo's someone who Sierra meets while on his global cat and mouse chase. Wagner's a bit of a heavyweight when it comes to the crime-drama genre – you probably know him best as the Pablo Escobar in Narcos.

Suzanne Brewer – Jessica Henwick

Netflix

If the crisp suit and sharp stare didn't already let you know – Suzanne's also on CIA's payroll. Game of Thrones fans will know her as Nymeria Sand, Marvel lovers will know her as Colleen Wing, and eagle-eyed Brits might remember her from St. Trinian's 2, which was her first role!

Avik San – Dhanush

Netflix

Avik is another guy who gets caught up in the whole take down Sierra Six drama, and as you can see, he takes a beating for it. If you're not into Tamil cinema, you may not instantly recognise Dhanush, but if you are you'll know he's royalty (the fact that he's mononymous should've given you a clue, too). He's an actor, producer, director, lyricist, and singer who's been in over 45 films. He's also won a ton of awards and has been on Forbes India's Celebrity 100 list multiple times, so yeah, he's a pretty big deal.
