Macca's Is Finally Bringing Szechuan Sauce Australia And I Haven't Stop Drooling Since I Heard The News

"I'm driven by finding that McNugget sauce! I want that Mulan [Szechuan] McNugget sauce, Morty!"

The great debate around the best sauces available at McDonald's has always been tainted in Australia by the fact that we've never had the ability to try what is apparently the greatest sauce Macca's have ever released — the Szechuan sauce.

I've been thinking about what this sauce might taste like since it was planted in my orbit by Rick and Morty. In the episode where it's featured, Rick drags Cornvelious Daniel deep into his psyche during a brain-link simulation, so that he can taste the sauce one last time.

Well, the wait is over folks, because Macca's is finally bringing the infamous sauce Down Under — along with the unbelievably delicious Cajun sauce (first released in 2020 as part of the BTS Meal) for us to dress our McNuggies with.

The sauces will be available from July 6-19, or while stocks last. They'll also be announcing two MORE sauces later in July. 

The Cajun Sauce is a blend of Dijon mustard, vinegar, honey and spices to create a perfect harmony of tangy and sweet, while the Szechuan sauce features soy sauce, ginger, garlic and sesame oil — bringing us a delicious, aromatic concoction that we'll probably want to slather on everything.

Both of these sound absolutely delightful and (no offence) way more appetising than the classic Sweet 'n' Sour Sauce. 

They're also going to be announcing two more sauces later in July — but tbh, I'm just excited to shove as much Szechuan sauce in my face as I can before it's gone.
