PSA Aussies — You No Longer Just Need Cash To Snap Up A Bunnings Snag

Cash won't be cutting my grass the next time I'm craving this sausage.

I moved house recently — and like every Australian who does so and decides they'd like to spruce the place up a bit, my friend and I went to Bunnings.

They had everything we needed and more — including stuff on our list I didn't even know they had. 

Part of the plan was to score a snag, because if you're not planning your trips to the hardware store (where lowest prices are just the beginning) around when you can score a barbecued sausage, you're doing it wrong.

But disaster struck after checking out — when we realised that we'd left our cash at home. Cue the orchestra of groans, air thick with disappointment while we sauntered out into the sun. Then, we decided to walk over anyway — just incase. And I'm so glad we did.

When we approached the stand, I noticed a sheet of paper with a QR code set up out the front. Lo and behold — you can now order a Bunnings snag from a menu online, and pay on your card.

At first, I was bewildered at the opportunity to buy 100 of them at once — but I quickly regained control of myself and settled for two (because one is never enough).

Gone are the days when you had to scramble to find a couple of gold coins when you remember it's the weekend and there's a snag to be had.
