The thing is, these shows are great. Really fucking great. Super entertaining.
But with each season, one thing is becoming ABUNDANTLY clear.
Shonda does not give a fuck about your feelings.
Like not one single fuck.
She's the biggest troll of them all and she shows absolutely no remorse about it.

She doesn't care about the sheer magnitude of deaths in a single storyline. In fact, she delights in it.
