Fancy taking a trip to the seaside without leaving London? This restaurant is a taste of the British shore, with everything from seared squid to oysters to satisfy all your stomach's desires. Aside from the food, Bonnie Gull also offers "Shore to Door Experiences", including a seafood masterclass where customers can learn the tricks of the trade in all things seafood.

2. Wright Brothers Oyster and Porter House, Borough Market

If you're an oyster connoisseur, this restaurant should be right up your street. Choose from a huge selection of oysters available and pair your meal with one of the many cocktails on the menu, like the tasty "Lady Marmalade" with Portobello Road gin, Campari, Cointreau, orange, marmalade, lemon juice, and bitters.

3. Big Easy, Various locations

This BBQ and lobster shack is great if you're a fan of live music, great cocktails, and food galore. Order the popular "Lobster Fest" for a £20 feast of lobster, chips, and a cocktail, or try one of the many daily specials Monday through Thursday, including limitless jumbo shrimp on a Tuesday.

For the messier eaters among us, they even provide you with a bib, so your eating experience isn't rudely interrupted by an unfortunate accident involving sauce and a newly clean top. What sweethearts.


4. J Sheekey, St. Martin's Court

J Sheekey boasts a huge menu of seafood choices, from salmon and crab all the way through to caviar, with the added bonus of a snazzy oyster bar. Beware: Food is not cheap, but it if your idea of heaven is being surrounded by every seafood imaginable, then this is where you need to be.

5. Etta's Kitchen, Brixton

Based in the heart of Brixton Village, Etta's Kitchen offers a variety of delicious seafood heavily influenced by her Caribbean heritage. Go light with a plate of crab fritters and chips or heavy with a seafood curry or whole crab. Either way, you won't leave dissatisfied.

6. The Golden Hind, Marylebone Lane

If a tasty fish and chips is what you're after, The Golden Hind is a great choice. Ordering is simple: Choose a fish, choose your sides, and come with an empty stomach because the portions are not small. It's also Bring Your Own Booze, so grab a couple of ciders from across the road and settle down to a traditional favourite.

7. Angler, Shoreditch

If you've recently won a small fortune, take yourself down to this Michelin-starred restaurant for a unique dining experience. Specialising in the finest seafood around, Angler's carefully crafted dishes tick the box for both taste and presentation. It is pricey though, so it's ideal for a one-off or special occasion.


8. Geales, various locations

Geales is a fish restaurant that promises fresh, quality seafood in both Notting Hill and Chelsea. Try their famous beer-battered cod or haddock, chips and mushy peas, or pop in for Mussel Wednesdays to get a bowl of mussels with chips and ale for £12.50.

9. Randall & Aubin, Soho

Randall & Aubin is a great mix of French and British seafood cuisine. Treat yourself with the hand-picked Devon crab or their special Crab Burger (as pictured gloriously above). There's also a handy £10 Express Lunch menu that will fill your stomach without emptying your pocket.

At Simply Fish, guests are encouraged to explore and create their own fish and seafood dishes. Choose your fish, how you want it to be cooked, your sauce, and a side for the perfect meal, or try one of their freshly prepared "World Classics".

11. Burger & Lobster, Various locations

Burger & Lobster is ideal if you want just that – great beef and great lobster. Order a burger, lobster roll or whole lobster with chips and a salad for £20 and get to nibbling!

If you fancy just lobster rolls, or maybe even a lobster chowder, head to Burger & Lobster's younger brother, Smack Lobster in Soho, for a variety of rolls at £10 each.


12. Fish, Wings & Tings, Brixton

If you're a big fan of Caribbean food, take a trip to Brixton Village and try the fish at FWT. Delectable dishes include Red Stripe Tempura Prawns, Codfish Fritters and the Coconut Curry Prawns with rice.

13. Newman Street Tavern, Fitzrovia

Newman Street Tavern offers a little of everything, including some tasty seafood options. If the sound of Var Smoked Salmon, Diver Scallops or Devon Crab tickles your fancy, then it's definitely worth checking this place out.
