The First Behind-The-Scenes Glimpse Of "Daisy Jones & The Six" Is Here, And We Cannot Contain Our Excitement

"Day 1 of Daisy Jones & the Six today. I am so, so proud of how hard everyone has worked to bring this story to life."

Filming has started on the New York Times bestselling novel Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid. The 13-episode limited series is coproduced by Hello Sunshine and Amazon Studios, and readers of this beloved book cannot wait to see the final product.

For those who haven't read it yet, Daisy Jones & the Six tells a story of the rise of a fictional iconic rock band in the 1970s and is formatted almost documentary-style with character dialogue at the forefront, as if you're watching an episode of VH1’s Behind the Music. It's sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll with the kind of drama and tension between characters that is utterly addicting and beautifully complex.

Basically, if you haven't read it...what are you waiting for?

And you might see some familiar faces in the cast, like Sam Claflin, who played the infamous Finnick Odair in The Hunger Games.

Anyway, yesterday, the entire cast gave us the tiniest glimpse at the very first day of filming!

On Instagram, actor Riley Keough wrote, "Day 1 of Daisy Jones and the Six today. I am so so proud of how hard everyone has worked to bring this story to life."

Sam Claflin wrote, "And so it begins…"

Joshua Whitehouse, who will play Eddie Roundtree, wrote, "So lucky to be a part of this incredible family and project — Daisy Jones and the Six starts shooting today! Only been waiting almost 2 years to knock it out, I’d say we’re all ready 😎 can’t wait for you to see what we’ve been cooking up. Already immensely proud."

According to Camila Morrone, who will play Camila Dunne, the series was halted because of the pandemic. "[In] March 2020 we got shut down one week before production," she wrote. "A year and a half later, we finally start our long awaited first day on this show. We cannot wait to give you sex, drugs, rock and roll, and a whole lotta drama."

We are absolutely living for these behind-the-scenes peeks (like this one from Sebastian Chacon, who will play Warren Rhodes) and are thrilled to see this book brought to life onscreen.

There is no set release date for this series yet, though we predict we'll see this as early as next year!
