A New Law In Iceland Says That Men And Women Must Receive Equal Pay

    Here's some A+ news to kickstart 2018 in a positive way: Iceland is now requiring companies to pay men and women equally with the risk of being fined if they do not.

    According to CNN, the country is dedicated to completely eliminating the pay gap by the year 2022.

    Unfortunately, the US is a bit far from making this important step happen, since the Trump administration halted an Obama initiative that would have reduced the gender pay gap.

    A number of celebrities have spoken up about the importance of closing the gender pay gap, including Jennifer Lawrence in her Lenny Letter, Patricia Arquette's Oscar speech, and, more recently, when Catt Sadler left E! after discovering she was being paid significantly less than her male coworker.
