8 Musicians You've Never Heard Of Who Are Just Killing It On YouTube

Sure, everyone loves a good rags-to-riches story of amateur musicians getting their big break, leaping from amateur karaoke enthusiast to chart-topping pop superstars. But this list is about the ones who are still lesser-known—the musicians making great, fun, goofy, creative or otherwise awesome music with (relatively) few subscribers to appreciate their efforts.

    1. Sarahjane (Singer)

Fun, awesome singing, and ridiculously attractive, Sarahjane does great covers of pop songs. She's got a star career as a singer ahead of her, but if that doesn't work out, I'm sure she can get a modeling gig with, perhaps... every modeling agency ever.

    2. Nick Proch (Composer)

This one might have flown past the radar had it not been for the Sarahjane video, but it turns out that composers these days are apparently into pop music too. Who knew? This is a really interesting "performance" of It's Time by Imagine Dragons, but you should definitely also listen to either of the Macklemore covers on his page. They're going to blow your frickin' mind.

    3. Ashley Jackson (Singer)

If you haven't watched Ashley Jackson's videos yet, you're missing out. She's a tremendously talented singer, and her videos are very well done. How does she not have more subscribers??

    4. Josiah Wilkinson (Pianist)

This piano cover of the song of the summer, Get Lucky, is mesmerizing on its own; when you consider that Josiah is just 16 years old, it's easy to believe that he's going to go on to do great things.

    5. Wesley Johnson, a.k.a. Jimlapbap (One-Man A Capella Group/Barbershop Quartet/Salsa Ensemble)

Who couldn't love this fun and goofy cover of One Direction's "Best Song Ever"? If this wasn't enough fun for you, check out his barbershop quartet tribute to 2012.

    6. Jordan Lamont Landers (Singer/Guitarist)

Who would have thought a pale redhead could have such a soulful, authentic voice? A definite example of "don't judge a book by its cover." He's a little more popular than the other entries here, but still not nearly as subscribed-to and viewed as he deserves to be. That voice!

    7. Christopher Bill (Trombonist)

Another entry into the one-man-band category, Christopher's self-accompanying trombone arrangements are talented and impressive, to say the least.

    8. Megan Davies (Singer)

This is a really creative mashup of Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive" and Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks." Megan doesn't have all that many videos uploaded yet, but it looks like she has a promising future!
