What letter is that? Is that just a fancy, calligraphic letter C? It looks more like a crescent moon with pi attached. Odd.

Certainly more of a natural evolution from this to their current logo as opposed to some of the others (cough, Phillies, cough, cough).

The 2014 World Series was the 110th edition of Major League Baseball's championship series, a best-of-seven playoff between the National League champions San Francisco Giants and the American League champions Kansas City Royals.  
The Royals had home field advantage for the series as a result of the American League's 5–3 victory in the All-Star Game. Seriously. When are they going to get away from selecting home field advantage for the World Series with this ridiculous method?

Actually, at the time of their championship victory, they were referred to as the Florida Marlins. They also had a different logo. A better looking logo in my opinion. This new art-deco look is ... mehh.

I was only 2 years old when this was played, so I don't remember much (any) of it. So here's what Wikipedia says ...  
The 1986 World Series pitted the National League champions New York Mets against the American League champions Boston Red Sox. The Mets won the Series in the seventh game, after overcoming a nearly hopeless deficit in Game 6, culminating in a late-game error by Boston's first baseman Bill Buckner. Game 6 was also cited in the legend of the "Curse of the Bambino" to explain the error.

Again, another World Series where my memory is a bit foggy being that I was negative 9 years old. Here's another Wiki summary:  
The 1975 World Series of Major League Baseball was played between the Boston Red Sox (AL) and Cincinnati Reds (NL). It has been ranked by ESPN as the second-greatest World Series ever played. Cincinnati won the series four games to three.

Another recently updated logo I think. And again, it's a circular shape. Like a baseball. Football doesn't have a lot of football-shaped team logos. There aren't a lot of puck-shaped hockey team logos. Wonder why that is.

Is their official team name the "Minnesota Twins Baseball Club?" That's what their logo says. If so, I didn't know that. It certainly isn't as ridiculous as the Angels' - the formerly-known-as California Angels following-formerly-known-as Anaheim Angels and now-known-as Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim?
