Hey, there's my face again! This mask has the approval of a *ton* of runners and athletes in its reviews, but also runners IRL. I run in Central Park four days a week and I am constantly seeing other runners in this mask. I have two of them in my own run rotation, and I'm impressed not only by how well they stay in place and don't get over-sweaty and gross on long runs, but by how well they wash up and maintain their shape. The straps are super soft on your ears, too. I've gotten to used to straps chafing on longer runs that I was surprised by what a difference this made. I gifted one of these to my dad for Christmas, too, and it's his go-to for walks and errand running. It's just an overall easier mask to breathe in (while still maintaining a tight fit and keeping the people around you safe!).
Promising review: "The best mask. A friend recommended this mask and it is wonderful. I wear it when I run outside — it allows me to breathe, while keeping me safe. It is a thick mask, and the ear bands are 'light' and made of elastic. Perfect." —LSM

This works on mosquitoes, bees, wasps, biting flies, sea lice, and more (although TBH, if this list of bugs gets any longer I may just stay indoors forever!!).
Promising review: "I have always suffered, so badly, from mosquito bites. For some reason they love me and I get more bites than the average person. I get giant welts that itch for days that most anti-itch creams don’t even help. Itching turns them into open wounds, and I even have some scars from some old bites. I saw a post on Facebook about 'The Bug Bite Thing' and I bought it on Amazon as a last resort. I am absolutely in love with this product! It is the first thing I’ve used that stops the itch permanently! I am so happy I found this product. I've even used it on my children aged 2 and 7. I highly recommend this product!" —Megan

Promising review: "I bought these shoes a couple years ago before a river hike. UM THESE ARE AWESOME. They lasted a long time and the only reason I bought these yellow ones were because I wanted a new color, haha. My older pair did start to wear out in the toes from scraping them on rocks and such when hiking but still no holes in them. These shoes feel like socks but with enough of a sole that you can walk on gravel with no problem. It really is like walking barefoot. Also, these are the only water shoes that I have worn that do NOT let a bunch of debris into the shoe making you constantly have to take it off to empty it or just deal with the irritant. You can play on the beach with minimal sand stuck between your toes. Thoroughly impressed by that. So with that, I do recommend if you are a half size to size down so they are snug, otherwise the sock like ability to keep stuff out might not work so well." —Samantha Lindsay

The canopy is super flexible and can be pulled taut so you can install it to fit your specific space — you just need four places to mount each corner, like roofs, walls, trees, or poles, but they don't have to be level to each other.
Promising review: "I waited more than 18 months to write this review because I wanted to see how well this held up in a California coastal town with unrelenting sunshine (yay drought year?). It is shading outside my roommate's western bedroom window, providing filtered light for some plants, shade for our dogs when they go out to play and pee, and protect my hydrophobic dog from the rare rain. So far, so good! In fact, so good that I bought a second one to extend my patio cover during quarantine and I'm about to buy a third because I bought a full sun baby tree not realizing it needs less sun during the first couple of years." —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "I originally bought this about three years ago and my husband used it and liked it so much recently with all the 'COVID driveway happy hours' he bought an additional one for him. It is easy to maneuver and angle to block the sun, but nonintrusive. It is easy to fold and replace in the carrying case. It is worth every penny." —Sarah B.

Promising review: "This stuff works fantastic. It lasts for hours and no chemical smell. It has a definite lemon smell but not like a furniture polish lemon smell. I had no bites and I was out for about three hours. Bugs didn't bug me at all and it has no DEET. You would need to reapply if you're getting in and out of the water so just keep that in mind. Mosquitoes LOVE me so if it works on me, then it should work on anyone." —Gina Central

Arroyo Seco Ultralight is a US-based, teen-owned Etsy shop established in 2020 that specializes in flexible water bottle holder attachments.

A heads up that this works *super* well for some reviewers, but not all — note that this is meant for non antireflective-coated lenses, and the instructions for use are very specific. To apply, spray a small amount on both sides of your lenses, and use your fingers to rub it across the whole area. Let it sit for a full minute, then wipe with a dry soft cloth. Once they're fully dry, you should be raring to go!
Promising review: "If you have been looking for a solution to your glasses fogging up when you are wearing a mask: you are here. I have been using this now for over eight months. The anti-fog coating will last most of the day. And this is going from air-conditioned car to 80 degrees plus humid weather in south Georgia. I put in longevity as one of my ratings because it’s a nice size bottle and only a little dab will do yah. Small business, made in America, and I even got a letter in the mail asking if everything was good. So if you wear glasses and a mask and have troubles click buy. With confidence." —Merrill Guice

I don't use it much but have been enjoying outdoor workouts doing the quarantine. I wanted a speaker that worked well but wasn't too expensive. I am SO happy with this purchase. The sound quality and connectivity are excellent and the price is great. It only weighs 2 pounds and fits neatly into a bag when you let the air back out of it, and once it's inflated, it has a head rest and a side pocket for stashing things like glasses and your phone. Perhaps most importantly for larger fams — it comes in a *ton* of different colors, so everyone will always know which one is "theirs."
Promising review: "We were wonderfully surprised how comfortable and easy to inflate these chairs were. After buying the first one and having our kids fight over it, we decided to go back and buy three more, so everyone in the family could lounge in comfort. They fold up small enough to where you can comfortably carry all four in a small shopping bag or tote. They can be inflated by just holding them in the direction of the wind on a brisk day or by running around in a big circle on a calm day. They have been a lifesaver during the stay at home/quarantine period this spring. We haven't tried them on water yet, but they claim to function as rafts as well. We're looking forward to using them during our next beach trip." —Amazon Customer
*Another* promising review: "I purchased this for a 6-year old to play on during rainy quarantine days and it has exceeded expectations. While we occasionally use it for lounging, it also doubles as a (pretend) pirate ship, white water raft, space shuttle, quicksand pit and swamp monster. It also serves as a slide, seesaw, and wrestling opponent for a 50 lb kid without having to reinflate. I realize these are all off-label uses of the chair, but after 10 weeks stuck in the house with this kid, we're desperate. I used a hair dryer (set to cool) to quickly inflate this indoors versus flapping myself to death like an idiot. The static electricity generated from the material is also great for collecting dog hair, so I count this as a discount Roomba." —Anna V.

It's also very handy around the house for lighting deeper candles, gas burners, and fireplaces. It comes in other pretty colors, but I am especially partial to this one because I bought it for my parents (their kitchen is entirely pink and one of my favorite places on Earth), and this was SO EASY to use — not to mention super safe! Promising review: "Do your feet a kindness and buy this now!! Stop suffering from hotspots and blisters!! The first time using my new hiking boots on the trail ended up with me hobbling back to the car due to the painful blisters new boots create. I know, I should have broken them in, but I didn't. I was excited to get back out on the trail with my new boots but hesitant with fear of more blisters. I did my research on how to break on boots, what the best socks are for hiking, how to treat blisters and most importantly, how to prevent them. Although I trusted the reviews of Foot Glide enough to order it, I was still skeptical putting on my brand new boots and hitting the trail. Welp, I'm happy to report, this stuff is LEGIT! Applied it to my heel and pinky toe area, both areas that were so painful on the last hike. There isn't a scent and it's not greasy, could barely tell I had put something on my skin. I tested it out on the same trail and felt no pain. Not even a hot spot!! This is now a staple in my hiking gear and will apply it before every trip." —Dacia Rae

After a test run with these on a hot day after a ride (sweaty and stinky), they worked like a charm. I did my first ride to work last week and arrived quite sweaty. I only had to use one wipe (cleaning strategically) and air-dried for 15–30 seconds. No residue and I felt (and more importantly... smelled) as clean as if I just took a shower. The hat completely covers my head from the front and reaches around a low pony tail, which is why I love it. It is reflective too. The really cool part is how it folds. There are two creases on the bill, so it can completely fold up. And when you’re wearing the hat, the bill stays firm and in place. It took approximately 20 minutes to put together on my own (a bit difficult to get the last screw attached), though it was fairly easy to construct without assistance. As soon as I had it put together, I put it outside and used a treat to alert my dog to its presence. She had no hesitation stepping onto the bed and now really enjoys it! It's been about a month and it seems to be holding up well. She loves to sleep on it and usually decides to lay outside on her Coolaroo bed after dinner until bedtime when I call her inside." —Megan
