How Often Do You Wash These Things?

Washing towels can be such a pain in the butt, but you should definitely aim to wash them every two or three uses. Just think of all the places your towels have been! The more times you use a towel, the more bacteria and dead skin cells they pick up. So, do your body a favor and just throw it in a load before you start your Netflix binge.

Showering _too_ often will actually dry out your skin and even make you more prone to infection! Those of us that find showering to be a bit of a bother can rest easy knowing they can skip a day or two.

How many times a week should you wash your body in the bath or shower?

First of all, you should be washing your bras every three to six days. Your boobs — while beautiful — are gross, especially during the summer when you're all sweaty. Second of all, give your bras a break, honey. You should switch the bra you're wearing every other day to give the elastic a break. Finally, it's best to hand wash them, but if you insist on throwing them in the washing machine, put them in a mesh bag and NEVER put them in the dryer. Bras are expensive, so take care of them as well as you take care of your boobs, so they last a long time.

How many wears can you get out of your bras before they need to go in the wash?

Those things are damp, dirty, and TOUCHING THE THINGS YOU EAT OFF OF. Please wash your dish towels every day. Maybe use a bit of bleach every once in a while to get them totally bacteria-free.

How many uses can you get out of a dish towel?

I know. It's absolutely infuriating. But yes, you do in fact have to wash your pillows — specifically every six months. It's soaking up all of those bodily secretions: oils, dead skin, drool, sweat... Definitely read the care label because every pillow is created differently but you should most likely wash it on the cold cycle and tumble dry on low. I wash my pillows every *** months.

I am so so sorry that I have to be the one to tell you that you're gonna need to go through the struggle of putting on a fresh fitted sheet once a **week**. I know it's tough to hear, but if you've been sniffling lately, you'll thank me later because your sheets accumulate a bunch of allergens over time.

URGGG! On top of actually _washing_ your face every day you're ALSO supposed to wash your makeup brushes every day. Who's got time for all that?! If the answer is "not me!" then at least try and wash them once a week. It's really bad for your skin to use dirty makeup brushes — they get pretty stiff when you don't wash them so they scratch your skin and cause inflammation. Plus, bacteria tends to latch on to all of that sticky stuff and hide in the bristles. So, either buy a brush cleaner that just lets you spritz and go, or give them a lil' rinse and scrub with baby shampoo.
