Kourtney Kardashian Opened Up About Responding To Trolls Who Drag Her Parenting Style

"No one knows my kids better than me. I've got this. I'm good, thanks."

Kourtney Kardashian has opened up about her experience of raising children in the public eye.

Kourtney, who is mom to three kids — Mason, 10, Penelope, 7, and Reign, 5 — has only ever experienced motherhood under the glare of fame.

In fact, she gave birth to her first two children on camera for Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

But being a mother in the public eye means that Kourtney is also subjected to her fair share of trolling on social media.

Just a few months ago, Kourtney was forced to respond after a commenter left a message under this photo of her son Reign, telling her to cut his hair.

"She really need to not worry about kids that aren't her own," Kourtney replied. "He is a happy boy."

Well, Kourtney has now revealed that when it comes to online criticism, she tries as much as possible to let the comments go over her head.

"I really try to not give energy to things that aren't worthy of my energy," she told Rose Inc. "Once in a while, I may respond to a negative comment for fun, or if something really does bother me, I definitely have the platform to correct it. But I usually don't think twice."

She added: "No matter what it is that I am doing, someone has something to say — good or bad."

But Kourtney went on to say that "the worst" form of trolling is people giving her "unsolicited parenting advice".

"The worst, though, is when people give unsolicited parenting advice," she explained. "No one knows my kids better than me. I've got this. I'm good, thanks."

Kourtney added that she's often criticised for kissing her kids on the lips — but that this is the one thing she "will never apologise for".

And the reality star also revealed that, over recent months, she's been attempting to practice what she preaches by not being negative herself.

"I'm always growing," she said. "I've been really making an effort to be so present in the moment, and honestly, the biggest thing I'm focusing on right now is to try and limit the negative things that come from my mouth. It's made such a difference so far."

Her comments come just days after Kourtney released a new video via her website, Poosh, in which she discussed the subject of being mom-shamed online with her sister Khloé.

"Being a new mom, you feel judged in general," Kourtney said. "I remember people commenting on every little thing. If I was wearing flat shoes, they'd be like, 'Oh, now that you're a mom, you can't wear heels!' And if I wore heels, they'd be like, 'You're gonna carry your kids in heels?!'

"As moms, we should try to be a better community of women lifting each other up," she went on. "We're all going through our own struggle, whatever it is we're feeling guilty about."

She added: "You'll never win, but I feel it'd be nice if we could come together more and be more supportive."
