It's no secret that Shawn Mendes and Hailey Baldwin go way, way back.
In fact, rumours about their relationship went into overdrive when they attended the Met Gala together in 2018, looking very...well, couple-y.
However, later that month Hailey rekindled her relationship with Justin Bieber, and by September the pair were married. Shortly after she and Justin got back together, Hailey also deleted every single photo of Shawn from her Instagram account.
Well, over the past few weeks Justin Bieber has been posting numerous photos of his new wife. In fact, his Instagram page currently resembles a Hailey stan account.
So imagine my surprise when none other than Shawn Mendes himself popped up to like this photo of Hailey on Justin's page.
I wasn't the only one to notice. People in the comments immediately began speculating as to whether the like signalled ~drama.~
Especially because Shawn went on to unlike the photo once people noticed.
However, it turns out all is fine. Justin himself eventually saw the speculation and waded into the comments to shut the whole thing down.
And it turns out there's no drama at all — Hailey and Shawn are actually still friends!
