Blake Lively And Amy Schumer Just Shut These Sexist Magazine Covers The Hell Down

The difference between this magazine cover for girls compared with the one for boys is proof that sexism exists in 2016.

Over the past couple of weeks, the comparison between these two magazine covers aimed at children has gone viral.

Whereas girls are encouraged to work toward achieving their dream hair, prepare their seasonal fashion choices, and "wake up pretty!" the boys are given multiple options for their future and are encouraged to explore them all. ๐Ÿ˜” ๐Ÿ˜” ๐Ÿ˜” ๐Ÿ˜”

And now celebrities are expressing their frustration, with Amy Schumer sharing the side-by-side shot of the magazines on Instagram alongside a very simple caption: "No".

Blake Lively then echoed Amy's sentiment, and advocated change, saying: "Let's not let this happen anymore."

People were quick to praise Amy and Blake for spreading the message and also shared their own frustrations over the covers.

It's not the first time celebrities have commented on sexist marketing. Ariana Grande once endorsed taking a stand against it after her mother tweeted a photo of the difference between the "women's interest" and "men's interest" magazines on the newsstand.

And Ariana made this A+ comment.

@joangrande oh! so women are only interested in tabloids& if I want to read about cars, business, science I have to go to the MEN'S section?

    Thanks, ladies. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ™
