46 Products That’ll Make Cleaning Everything Super Efficient

If you're gonna clean, you might as well do a very good job of it.

    1. A jetted tub cleaner you simply run through in a bath cycle and just watch the filth EMERGE from the pipes. Then you simply wipe it away! It'll be equally horrifying and satisfying. Worth it.

    tub with dirty foam
    tub with clear water

You run your bath, add the cleaner, watch the gunk emerge, drain your bath, and then clean off the gunk!

Promising review: "It's disgusting to see what comes out of your jets when you use this product. I can't believe we bathed in this! I've run bleach and dish detergent through my jets before, and that combination never cleaned with this efficiency. I highly recommended this product." —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $16.99.

    2. Water bottle-cleaning tablets to make sure everyone's go-to container actually gets cleaned and LOOKS it. No more actually-clean drink containers discarded because of their lackluster looks.

Promising review: "I wasn't sure if this was a gimmick or not. Turns out it works really well. I have four metal thermos-like containers that are used to keep tea warm every day. Over time, the tea stained the insides and was very difficult to remove. I added one of these tablets to the container, filled it with hot water, and let it sit for a few hours. When I came back to rinse it out, I was literally amazed at how clean it was. I think it looked cleaner than when they were new. I called my wife over to show her, and she was equally impressed. Awesome product!" —Robert A Moreno II

Get 12 tablets from Amazon for $6.88.

    3. A pumice stone that'll scrub away hard water marks and you should most definitely label as "TOILET" so people don't use it on their feet(!!!!).

Promising review: "We rented a home and the toilets were disgusting. Someone suggested a pumice stone and let me tell you it was amazing!! The picture is after just five minutes with the stone. I tried bleach, every toilet bowl cleaner available, and countless hours of scrubbing to no avail...but this stone worked instantly! I will be buying several more!! The stone does dissolve when scrubbing so you need a couple. I was able to do almost two toilets completely that looked awful with one stone!!" —CristaCross

Get it from Amazon for $10.10.

    4. And in case the situation is a bit more dire, a toilet wand cleaning system with removable heads so you'll stop regretting your decision to potty train your cats.

Includes a wand, storage caddy, and six disinfecting wand head refills.

Promising review: "So, we have a toilet that belongs to the cats. We don't use it, we don't look at it, we like to pretend it does not exist. Even with semi-regular flushing, cat waste is pretty nasty stuff and built up quickly in the bowl. One of these wands cleaned it up in a single session! Before and after pic attached." —Whitney

Get it from Amazon for $14.99.

    5. An ultrasonic jewelry cleaner to scrub away dirt and debris from a cloudy wedding band or smudged glasses with *just* the power of water while you go about your day doing the things you do.

Promising review: "I ordered this product based on the great reviews and I was not disappointed. My center stone is a white sapphire and gets dirty extremely quickly. I've tried different cleaners and even taking it to mall jewelers, but they could never get it as clean as the jeweler we bought it from (that's over an hour and a half away). Because of this, my ring would get so dirty to the point of not even wanting to show it off. This little guy with some Blitz Gem and Jewelry Cleaner made a HUGE difference. I ran it a handful of times because of how dirty it was and can't believe how shiny it is now. Very pleased with this purchase!" —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $24.96.

    6. And a cleaning pen that'll *gently* revive the look of your jewels that you DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE have grown cloudy over time. Don't worry, it's made with micro-fine cleansers, polishing agents, and a polymer for a pro-level shine at the price of your morning coffee order.

Promising review: "I worked several years in a fine jewelry store that sold this product. We used the Dazzle Stick from time to time to add a quick shine to merchandise that was just tried on and on days our jeweler was not there to professionally clean items. I was always impressed with the instant shine the diamond stick provided. The brush tip is very helpful for getting under the stones and in the setting where gunk builds up reducing that brilliant shine. I recently got engaged and immediately purchased a Diamond Dazzle stick of my own. It's the perfect way to quickly give my ring some shine before leaving the house. You simply brush, rinse, dry and go. I don't feel this product replaces the need to professionally clean your jewelry every now and then, but it does help with the maintenance of that new shiny sparkle." —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $6.47.

    7. An ink remover that'll erase all sorts of pen accidents and transform hand-me-downs that've been etched with Sharpie pens. I'm not joking. No more seemingly endless scrubbing to no avail.

Promising review: "Amodex took ink out of my expensive scrubs. A pen leaked in my pocket and made a thick glob of ink stain on the scrub jacket and a little on the pants. After using the Amodex and washing in cold water, there is no evidence of a stain and the fabric looks exactly how it looked before the stain. There was no damage or discoloration of the fabric. Thank you, Amodex. This product just saved me the $75 that it would have cost to replace the scrubs." —Michelle hammer

Get it from Amazon for $13.98.

    8. A targeted cleaner with a commercial-strength formula to cut through the mess to annihilate tough soap scum on shower doors, tub bottoms, sinks, whatever.

    filthy bathtub floor
    clean bathtub floor

Promising review: "Sharing our nasty before picture so you can really see the difference! Our tub/shower has a grippy bottom and scum and dirt cakes on there so easily. The only way I've been able to get it off before was literally scraping it inch by inch, I've spent hours and all it ever got was somewhat clean - never enough for me to want to take a real bath in it. This stuff is expensive but with the good reviews I decided to try it, it works amazingly!! I sprayed it on (it came with a great spray nozzle and a lid) and left it for about 15–20 minutes. Then I took a brush with hard plastic bristles (I believe a soft brush would have even worked) and with less than 20 minutes of scrubbing the entire tub and walls it was cleaner than when we moved in. The grime and scum almost like melted off. It smells pleasant, it's not crazy strong smelling but in an enclosed space I still felt the need to wear a mask while cleaning." —Amazon Customer

Get it from Amazon for $19.88.

    9. A ~powerful~ shoe cleaner that'll turn back time on those kicks your kid swears could use replacing. Sry Jr.

one dirty sneaker, one clean sneaker
    bottle of cleaner

Promising review: "I have had my Nike Roshe runs for about a year now, and I don't go easy on them. I play sports and run in the dirt with them all the time, but I also like to wear them for fashion purposes. Pink Miracle helped restore my daily shoes to look like I just bought them — now I can wear them for even longer. Very pleased with Pink Miracle, I will buy it again when I run out of my bottle." —Romario

Get it from Amazon for $23.97.

    10. A rust-removing spray to work like a magic trick in neglected showers, minus the elbow grease. Spray it on a rusted surround, leave the room, and come back to diminished stains you can easily wipe away.

    rust covered shower surround
    clean shower surround

Promising review: "Seeing is believing. I posted before and after pictures of our bathtub. It was gross and orange rust stained. Not even Mr. Clean Magic Erasers touched the rust stains. But now it's shiny and looks brand new. I sprayed it on (yes, it's more of a liquid than a gel but it still works). I came back an hour later and wiped it off. No elbow grease needed. Majority of the rust was gone, only thing left was soap scum and that easily wiped away. I'll be buying this stuff again!" —NMP

Get it from Amazon for $12.18.

    11. An affordable hand vac that'll make cleaning up discarded fluff from your furniture NBD. Seriously, walking around like an animal fur hedgehog out of laziness is no way to live.

    pet fur covered blanket
    clean blanket

Promising review: "Holy crap!! Are you skeptical when it comes to buying stuff online? ME TOO! That's why I figured all of these rave reviews were a crock of crap. I've seriously bought every kind of vacuum out there. But I have four cats and a Golden Retriever, so I was getting desperate! I believe the saying is… a picture is worth a thousand words. Check mine out! Of note, the 'before' picture was taken of my dog's bed AFTER it went through the washer and dryer. Look at all of that left behind hair!!! And the 'after' picture was taken after only THREE MINUTES spent vacuuming her bed. I. Am. SOLD! BTW, I've NEVER taken the time to review a product before, just FYI." —Luka Chan

Get it from Amazon for $36.99.

    12. A wheel cleaner to undo the grunge of the road.

    disgusting looking car wheel
    completely clean car wheel

Promising review: "It will take one look from your friends to say 'Did you buy some new wheels?' This stuff is absolutely amazing. For the full effect, dismount your wheel, spray the back. Go do something for 10 minutes. Wash with water, no scrubbing needed. Turn the rim face up, do it again. Do the rest of your rims, and don't forget the tire protectant when you reinstall them. This stuff will handle salt, road tar, off-road dirt and mud — you get it dirty, it comes clean. Where was this stuff when I was racing off-road?" —johnfcon

Get it from Amazon for $15.99.

    13. A drill brush cleaning kit you can attach to your drill/driver for an informercial-like cleaning sesh that'll have you seeking out all the dirty surfaces you've been ignoring. This'll handle all the elbow grease.

caked on disgusting interior of oven
    same oven completely clean

Includes three brushes that'll attached to a standard handheld drill.

Promising review: "I’m in love with this. I manage many apartment properties and finding people to do the cleaning has been tricky business, so I end up having to get in and clean these horrendous filth pods tenants lived in and left me to deal with when they move out. The ovens and stove tops are usually the worst, and I absolutely hate cleaning. I came across this drill attachment set, and let me tell you, it helped me tremendously! I still had to get in with a putty knife on some of them but it really cut down my elbow-grease time. If it wasn’t for this drill attachment, I think my arms would have just fallen off trying to clean it as good as I did! My only con would be that it doesn’t have any extension of any sort, so I really had my drill all up in that oven, but well worth it." —alicia haats

Get it from Amazon for $14.95+ (available in five color combos).

    14. A jar of 100% natural Oven Scrub to help tackle build-up in your enamel ovens plus the oven rack and glass on the door!

Promising review: "I’m now a permanent customer. I’ve used CLR, Clorox bowl cleaners, and others but this is my favorite. I used a small broom to clean my tubs and tile (as I usually do) even though instructions said to use a sponge; it dried my hands pretty bad (please use gloves). So I used the broom instead and it worked pretty well. I would recommend. I even tried it on my stove and it worked like a charm." —Itzel A.

Get two 13 oz. bottles from Amazon for $14.

    16. A makeup brush cleanser because you and I both know you're not washing your beauty tools as frequently as you should. (Same.) So when you *do* finally wash them, do it with this stuff so you'll get all the makeup out.

Promising review: "This cleanser is great! It fully removes all makeup from the brushes without leaving them feeling beat up (I'm not the most gentle when it comes to cleaning brushes). I use a thick foundation that soaks heavily into the bristles, but this removed it all. At first I thought it was a bit thin, but after using it, a little bit goes a long way. It has a nice lather, but very nicely and easily rinses out." —Kryssy

Get it from Amazon for $6.99.

    17. A pack of stain-removing, nontoxic cleaning cups that'll clean out your Keurig's innards...and perhaps haunt your dreams when you see what the water looked like before.

A customer review photo of the dirty water coming out of their Keurig after running the cleaning cup through it
A customer review photo of their Keurig with a cleaning cup in it

Promising review: "Okay, so these cleaner pods are awesome! I didn't know how gross our Keurig was until today. The big mason jar on the left is when I actually ran the cleaner through plus one rinse cycle. The middle one is another rinse cycle and the last one, on the right, is the last one I did. So yes, I would suggest running two or three rinse cycles instead of the recommended one. But it's still an awesome product for the price! I have a Keurig 2.0 and I had no issues." —Mads0421

Get a pack of six from Amazon for $9.95.

    18. A bottle of non-toxic Folex Carpet Spot Remover to make all sorts of horrific stains disappear quickly. *And* there's no rinsing or vacuuming involved.

Promising review: "I had terrible rust and oil stains all over the seats of my car when I bought it. I tried other cleaners to get it out, but they actually made the stains darker. I took it to the dealership to see if they could get it out and they flat out told me no, so I gave up and lived with it for almost five years. I tried this after it was recommended by a friend. I sprayed it on and literally watched the stain run right off my seat. It was amazing! I thought I was going to have to pay hundreds of dollars to replace the seats in my car because nothing else would work. This stuff really is awesome!" —Brittany

It’ll create a bit of lather. Then go over again a few times with the wet cloth to get all the soap out. You’ll need a bit of elbow grease but it works!" —kimmouse

the cleaner in a microwave with tons of splatter
    the microwave now clean

Promising review: "It usually takes me 10 minutes of scrubbing to get my microwave clean each week. I filled to the line with vinegar and put her in for seven minutes. Once almost done I removed her and easily wiped the mess up in only a few minutes. I would buy again even if she didn't come with instructions. She does produce a vinegar smell so next time I will add lemon juice as others suggested." —Teli

    24. Goo Gone – it can make all sorts of sticky messes you've resigned to living with disappear — including that old magnet that fused with your rental apartment's fridge (me) or stickers fused with garage door windows (my friend who just bought a house).

Promising review: "I used this on my JBL LSR4236P Studio Monitors and it worked very well. For some reason JBL decided to put some kind of weird adhesive on the front of these monitors, which caught every piece of cat hair and dust that touched it over the years. Used this with some paper towels and a little elbow grease and the adhesive came off quickly. The Picture I added: (Left) After Goo Gone (RIGHT) Before Goo Gone." —Andrew

brick steps half clean and half caked in mud

Note that you need to be careful on wood when using a pressure washer because it can be too intense and actually damaging!

Promising review: "I love this washer. It competes with my 2200 PSI gas-powered pressure washer, which in fact I sold to keep this. But doesn't have the noisy gas engine or the heavy weight. Easy to move around lightweight and has great power. Very quiet. I love all the attachments and the different stream types. The soap dispenser works well. I'm cleaning everything, my deck, my house, the garage doors, the concrete slab. It takes off all the dirt and mold from the old concrete stairs and sidewalk." —Tim S.

reviewer's before pic of inside dishwasher with buildup
reviewer's after pic of inside dishwasher without buildup

Promising review: "After using this product, I am happy to report that my $5 investment saved me over $500. I was ready to replace my dishwasher due to super cloudy glasses, residue, and dishes just not getting clean. Then, I became aware that the water softener was no longer doing its job so I had the rental company replace it. Dishwasher performance improved somewhat. I decided to do two more loads before deciding to purchase a new one. Then I saw a product test review for Affresh. I was ordering some stuff from Amazon anyway so I added that to my order. When it came, I tossed one of the tablets into the bottom of the full machine per the instructions and ran the regular cycle. I did not expect the results I got! The glassware that I thought was permanently etched and ruined came out like new. Same with cutlery. The difference is unbelievable. I will use this faithfully every month, as recommended. I can even put it on my subscribe and save order so I will get a new pack every six months. I am amazed!" —Sheila

This little wonder fits inside of the drain and you can easily remove it and pull off hair at least once a week. You'll even enjoy how grossed out seeing all that hair makes you!

Promising review: "I was skeptical, but for a few bucks I gave it a go. I'm lazy and I live with two ladies (who are also lazy). The tub drain doesn't get addressed nearly enough. I'd usually be the one pulling nasty balls of long hair out of the drain catch just so the tub would actually drain during a shower EVERY DAY. With this bad boy, once a week and you don't even notice a slow down in the drainage." —Jason

close up of the black strip on the edge of the stovetop that blends in with the black oven
overall pic of a stove top with the strips in place and blending in with the convection stove top

Promising review: "This product serves its purpose, keeping spills and crumbs from settling in between my new cabinets and stovetop. Only issue I had is my clearance between the two is barely enough space to seat the lip underneath to keep product in place. In front I have enough clearance, but about midway stove and back I have no clearance. Ended up having to cut the lip off underneath just to get it to lay flat. That’s not the products fault, it was the countertop installers that made it a little too tight. Easy to cut these to length, and they look nice next to the stovetop." —Flwrchd

the robot vacuum cleaning up a mess on the floor
    Amazon

Promising review: "This is simply amazing. I have a six pet household (plus three kids) and this bad boy is unfazed by the massive amounts of hair and dirt that accumulates on the floors. I am obsessed with emptying the reservoir because I’m always amazed by how much it picks up (including big things, like Nerf darts, so it’s a good idea to pick up before it gets doing). I also like that all of the components on the undercarriage are removable for easy cleaning. I need to get in there and unwrap the long human hairs from some of the spinny thingys from time-to-time and it’s convenient that I can just pop them out, clean them up and put them back on." —Ashleigh F.

Enhances the natural beauty and depth of grain on finished *and* unfinished wood. For use on antiques, dining tables, kitchen cabinets, wood doors and trim, etc.

Promising review: "Very impressed so far. Just tried this stuff on one of our kitchen cabinets and it really did a nice job. The cabinets are 15 year old cherry stained hard work cabinets (oak, maybe?) and are scratched deeply in certain parts from the previous owner's dogs. 20 minutes after applying this product and wiping it off, I can't complain at all about the results. It looks great in the picture, and even better in real life where you are not focusing on staring at imperfections. In addition to helping tremendously with the blemishes, it also leaves a nice glossy shine on the cabinets, making them look clean and fresh (not over the top glossy and fake). For the minimal price, I can't complain at all. Finally, I used about a 1/3 of an oz to do the 36" double base cabinets and the 36" wide drawer, so I believe the 16 oz bottle will last quite a while." —Patrick Gallagher

    35. A millipede-like hair remover with more than 4k hooks and loops to ensnare all that hair down there and save ya' a drain replacement or costly visit from the plumber.

reviewer pic of the hair remover with a huge clump of hair caught on the end
person holding up the coiled hair remover in front of a sink

Promising review: "This is the best product ever for getting rid of hair clogs in sink and tub drains! I have two teenage girls with long curly hair and despite them gathering hair that they find in the tub after showering, it still clogs from time to time. All I have to do is put down the drain millipede and it pulls out the hair and removes the black gunk on the side of the drain. It's absolutely disgusting and smells horrible BUT gets the job done without chemicals and a plumber. A must have for every tub/shower drain!!" —D. Darr

Seriously, why did anyone think shower doors were a good idea?

Promising review: "Amazing product! My kids' bathroom has a tub with a textured bottom and what seemed to be ground-in heavy soap scum. I tried everything from Tilex to baking soda and vinegar but the stains just wouldn't budge. Got my shipment of Bucko in, immediately ran upstairs and sprayed the tub down, let it sit for three minutes, grabbed a washcloth, and the stains/soap scum just wiped right off. I couldn't believe it!!!" —Ray

Promising review: "I went a month without mopping my kitchen floor, in a house with two kids and two dogs (don't judge me). I didn't think this thing would get it all up — it did.....and effortlessly. Then only thing it didn't get was some of the grout stains, but that's asking a little much anyway. You can't beat it for the price." —Nici

Promising review: "Easy to install, just cut and place on shelf. Recently had meat juice spill from a dish & at first I was afraid it would stain! I put the liner under the faucet and ran water on the spot. Rinsed right out. No scrubbing or rubbing. Meat juice didn’t run all over the glass but stayed in one spot near the juice!" —Kindle Customer

One of my coworkers owns this in lieu of a storage space–hogging upright vacuum and touts its crevice tool for sucking hairs out of upholstery. Also, it works on both her hardwood floors and a shaggy rug! So really, it's a multitasking investment worth your coin. Check out our review of the Dyson V7 motorhead cordless stick vacuum.

Promising review: "So I write this review to put all the bad ones to shame. This is the best vacuum I have ever used. I’ve you are contemplating to get this vacuum, I highly recommend it. I’ll never go back to anything else. It’s built well, has great suction. It picked up a lot of my two dogs' hair (one big dog, one small dog), and also mind that two days ago I had my carpet professionally cleaned, now i’m questioning if they even did a really good job. The vacuum picked up a lot from my carpet, and I only vacuumed for a couple minutes. The only 'possible' negative I have is I wish it had a longer charge, however, I know what I signed up for by buying this one and not one that claims it lasts longer. All in all, I 100% recommend this product." —Chelsee Brooks

    45. A microfiber blinds duster to make getting in between those tricky shades so much easier and quicker.

Promising review: "I love this product!! It works fantastic! I am a housekeeper for several private homes. My least favorite job is cleaning window blinds! I have used about every method there is, but the job is still very time-consuming. The main reason it takes so long is you must clean each and every slat separately to do the job right. Not any more! With this product, you can clean two slats at once and it cleans them the first swipe! The microfiber is the key to getting all the dust and the design of the product makes it super easy! PLUS this tool can be used on different types of blinds because it is flexible! I have used it on wooden shutters, plastic vertical patio door blinds, and horizontal metal 'mini' blinds. Additionally, the microfiber 'sleeve' that fits on the tool is washable and it comes with five of them so it's a real value, being reusable and with so many to use it should last a long time before they all completely wear out! This product deserves 10 stars!" —Sandy D
