    1. A bottle of Loisa Organic Sazón, a full-flavored seasoning made with oregano, cumin, garlic, coriander, achiote, and a touch of sea salt for a rich flavor you can use on almost anything. Sazón is a household staple in nearly every Latinx home I know, it makes everything delicious, and this version of it is not only SO flavorful but it uses no MSG, no preservatives, no artificial stuff, and its vegan! Plus, it's a Latinx-owned brand!

    Amazon

Promising review: "At last!. A clean sazón without the junk! My grandma taught me to make it from scratch to avoid additives but I could never replicate the flavor and consistency. This product is a STAPLE in my household. Simply delicious and all-natural. I love this company." —Charles Har

Get it from Amazon for $9.98.

    2. A variety pack of A Dozen Cousins ready-to-eat seasoned beans, a delicious (like holy moly delicious) recipe of a dinner staple. The founder based his flavorful creations off his own Creole, Caribbean, and Latin kitchen — and man, are they delicious. Plus you can just plop one of the bags in the microwave for 60 seconds and bam they're ready to go.

    Amazon

Promising review: "Who writes a review about beans? Somebody who loves beans but had given up on them, until now. This is a great product. Canned beans from my local supermarket are always a disappointment so I stopped getting them. I don't have time to cook beans myself but A Dozen Cousins beans are fresh and taste terrific. I am trying to eat healthier and these are a great way to do that. I've been trying to avoid packaged, processed foods but the natural ingredients make these different. I can feel good about eating them. The beans are whole and not mashed up like in cans. All of the varieties are seasoned well and versatile. I've had them on their own, in salads and in wrap sandwiches. I'm really happy to have found these and hope they continue to add new flavors and products. Do yourself a favor and order some. You won't regret it." —Amazon Customer

    3. A jar of Matiz Sofrito that's made from a family recipe that includes tomatoes slow roasted in olive oil for over three hours. Sofrito is most traditionally used in the Spanish dish paella but it's incredible as a sauce for meats, fish, eggs, and pasta.

Promising review: "Usually I make my own sofrito, but I was wondering if I could save time without compromising flavor. This b is an awesome alternative! Delicious and expeditious." —Dot A

    4. A gluten-free, vegan, and organic bag of Anthony's Coconut Milk Powder you can use to make some incredible cream sauces. It's basically the same thing as that canned coconut milk but in a powdered form so it can easily be incorporated into more recipes!

    Amazon

Promising review: "When I bought my first bag of coconut milk powder, I wasn't sure what to do with it. My recipes were experimental and, mostly, a flop. I finally figured out how to make my own coconut whipped cream, though. Basically, it's two parts coconut milk powder to one part almost-boiling water. Add sweetener to taste. It's best to whip it with a mixer, the longer the better. A little coconut milk powder makes a big batch of coconut whipped cream, and it tastes every bit as good as it does when you use coconut milk in a can. Kept in a covered dish in the fridge, it lasts a few days. This is much more economical, plus you don't have to worry about preservatives." —Maria M

Get it from Amazon for $12.48.

    5. A bottle of the best. THE. BEST. seasoning the world will ever know (it's my personal favorite if you couldn't tell). Tajin uses a mix of spicy, tangy, and salty flavors to make anything you sprinkle it on fantastic. My mouth is literally salivating at the thought of it on a piece of cucumber.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I absolutely fell in love with this product. I use it on so many things: apple slices, hard-boiled eggs, watermelon, cottage cheese, salads, chicken, chicken salad, etc. The list goes on because this seasoning is so versatile. It’s NOT spicy hot. More tangy and salty. It reminds me a little of Pica Limon. First I bought the small container, then I bought the larger one, and now I’m a two-pack purchaser. If you’re reading this, you’re probably in the same boat. Wonder if they make it in a 'handle' sized jug? I keep one at home, at work, and in my lunch bag!" —CROCHET QUEEN

Get two bottles from Amazon for $12.50.

    6. A jar of Seattle based chef, Eric Rivera's Sazón — I know we've already covered Sazón but Chef Rivera has put his spin on it and created amazing variations of the classic staple, like a saffron Sazón and a spicy Sazón, that I couldn't not include. Also, if you're ever in Seattle, visiting his restaurant Addo might change your life!

After you grill it, enjoy with your favorite tortillas — you're welcome.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I grew up in Southern California eating great Mexican food all the time, in my 20s I moved to the east coast and good carne asada tacos are harder to come by. I tried a bunch of recipes I found online and although I made some pretty good tacos, they were never exactly right. Then one day I got lucky and stumbled into this stuff. This is the flavor I was looking for." —An Individual

    8. A jar of Inca's Food Aji Amarillo Paste, a specialty from Peru this one-way ticket to flavor town is high in vitamin C, antioxidants, bold and spicy flavors. It's made using a unique hot pepper grown in the Andes.

A jar of Inca's Food Aji Amarillo Paste.
    Amazon

Promising review: "Terrific! Slightly spicier than the other brands I have tried, although this is not really a spicy paste in general (not my version anyway). Absolutely wonderful on a 10-hour slow cooker pork loin. Just plop in the loin, dump the whole jar over the meat, and heat it on low for 10 hours. It will fall apart when it's done, and taste terrific over rice, sliced cooked potatoes, bread, whatever. I like strong flavors, so I added a hint of Trader Joe's salt, garlic, pepper blend, and a sprinkle of crushed red Aleppo pepper. It was divine. You could use just this alone, really. Sprinkle on a few scallions before serving it." —Chris

Get it from Amazon for $9.40.

    9. A container of Happy Belly Celery Salt, a blend of salt and celery seed that gives a bold and distinctive flavor that's savory, slightly bittersweet, herbal, and grassy. It's especially good sprinkled on potato salad, coleslaw, and cocktails (bloody Marys anyone?) but could honestly go on so many things.

    Amazon

Promising review: "Celery salt is a staple in my kitchen and this brand is outstanding! It does wonders for egg salad and many savory dishes. The smell of this is fresh and appetizing. The taste is equally satisfying, and the value is great. I have tried other Happy Belly spices and have yet to be disappointed. In fact, so far they’ve exceeded my expectations. Give this a try! I’m sure you’ll be as pleased as I am." —Katherine E. O'Rourke

    amazon.com

Promising review: "I made chicken with Slap Ya Mama — I spread it on like a rub, if you like your food to make your mouth burn use in that way. Otherwise use it sparingly at first so you can gauge just how spicy you want the food to be. I am not knocking this product — I love it. I just wasn't ready for the amount of heat is all and I use it every day. I just use a smaller amount for me on food. Be careful with it at first and then you will know how much is a good amount to use." —Billy Furtado

I was afraid the spice would be overpowering, but it’s actually quite mellow and smooth; just the right touch of heat. So far, I’ve enjoyed this on fruit salad (banana/strawberry/blueberry) with cottage cheese and drizzled on the original Chick-fil-A sandwich....so delicious!" —Sleeps in Rain

A person pouring a bottle of Secret Aardvark Habanero Sauce.
    Amazon

Promising review: "I've been using Aardvark for quite some time and it's still one of my favorite sauces. At any given time I have three to five hot sauces in my fridge and this one always hits the spot. This sauce has replaced Sriracha for me. Don't get me wrong, I'll always use Sriracha for pho or most Asian foods. This sauce is just great on EVERYTHING (pizza, meats, eggs, fried rice). It's a bargain for the price and the amount you get. It tastes very similar to the Hot One's sauce at a fraction of the price. I've become desensitized to the spice so it might be a bit 'hot' for some, but if you like spicy foods/sauces definitely give this one a try." —Mikey

And bake chicken wings until they are super crispy then sprinkle this all over them, put them in a bowl and toss them as you sprinkle the dust. Really really good." —Amazon Lover

    20. A bottle of Tablespoon Provisions By Knorr Harissa Seasoning — made with no artificial preservatives or MSG, this addition will add spicy and complex flavors thanks to its mix of smoky red chilis, cayenne, coriander, and garlic. It's a popular flavor for many North African dishes, like couscous.

    Amazon

Promising review: "I was hit with a powerful and wonderful aroma as soon as I opened the jar. I couldn’t wait to try it. I sprinkled it over some meatballs that I was heating for lunch. Wow! Very nice. It improved them 100%. I’ll be using this a lot. The flavor is smokey and spicy (but not too hot) and distinctly North African. If you enjoy foods from that region then this is a must. I like that they don’t add salt or MSG. I’ve always made my own harissa seasoning (and other blends) to avoid added salt. I prefer to add that separately. But now I’ve found one I can purchase ready-made. For a mass-produced name-brand it is a little on the pricey side, but not too expensive. I can definitely recommend it to those willing to try something new and/or who already love North African cuisine." —Walter

A bottle of Magic Dry Rub Spice Powder next to a plate of grilled chicken.
    Amazon

Promising review: "The flavor that Black Magic adds to my steaks in incredible. It's got a perfect amount of salty, with tastes of onion and garlic. I don't know if the charcoal that's in the ingredients has anything to do with the flavor, and the fact that charcoal is an ingredient seems odd, but once I tasted it, that aspect no longer mattered. I sprinkled both sides liberally and set them in the fridge overnight. Shortly before they were cooked, medium-rare, I smeared the steaks with some butter. So good." —C/O Jim

Get it from Amazon for $10.99.

    23. A giant container of Happy Belly Granulated Garlic, because you can never have too much garlic. Never.

    Amazon

Promising review: "Wife or husband don't know how to season? BAM! Problem solved. The girlfriend always asks while cooking 'What should I put on this chicken or pork?'. BAM! Problem solved! Kickass seasoning, cheap, but really does go great on pretty much any kind of meat! Especially fish, or any kind of seafood! It DOES have a kick to it, so if you don't like spicy you may not like it. It's not crazy hot, just a hint of spice in there." —Drew Patterson

Get it from Amazon for $10.99.

    25. A canister of Traeger Grills Seasoning and BBQ Coffee Rub, which, tbh, confused me at first. Coffee? As a rub? But I guess I'm just late to this party because it's actually a fantastic blend of coffee and black pepper flavors that complement everything from beef to veggies.

A canister of Traeger Grills Seasoning and BBQ Coffee Rub.
    Amazon

Promising review: "I was a bit worried about a 'coffee' rub, but this stuff is great. Adds a nice sweet flavor with a hint of coffee. Great for pork or chicken. I cover an entire chicken, smoke, and eat. Add a little rosemary and stuff the cavity with an orange or apple to ensure moistness." —S. Haywood

Get it from Amazon for $9.99+ (available in six flavors).

    26. A bottle of Benson's Table Tasty Salt Substitute, an awesome alternative for anyone wanting or needing to cut down on their salt intake. It's made using all-natural ingredients like red bell pepper, carrot, parsley, and dill.

A bottle of Benson's Table Tasty Salt Substitute.
    Amazon

Promising review: "WOW! How did they do it? This is possibly the best salt substitute I've found. The flavor could be best described as a tangy mirepoix. I definitely taste lemon/lime, garlic, celery, and carrot, but there is a distinct 'salty' flavor to it that is missing from other 'salt-free' spice mixes. Which is amazing, because my taste buds tell me it's salty... but it's not! There is NO metallic, chemical aftertaste to this seasoning at all. It is NOT like 'light' salt or that gross 'NoSalt' stuff that my grandparents used to keep around their house. It is sooooo much better. From what I can read on the label (my eyes are kinda bad) it is just a simple blend of herbs and spices. I've tried it on chicken, popcorn, and even salads and haven't been disappointed yet. For basic baked/grilled meats, steamed vegetables, rice, and eggs, it definitely works for me. I knew it was a winner when I put it on some popcorn. I ate a whole bowl of popcorn completely without salt and didn't miss it at all! I'm definitely sneaking some of this into the theater next time with the illicit bags of homemade air-popped popcorn. If you're like me and you're just trying to stay healthy by cutting back on salt, try a small shaker of it first and see what you think. Me, I'm gonna go back and buy the big bag. This one's a keeper." —Spubba

Get it from Amazon for $9.99.

    27. A Don Sazon Chicken Seasoning that'll stop you from ever making bland ass poultry ever again!

A bottle of Don Sazon Chicken Seasoning.

Chances are you might be able to find this bad boy for a lower price at your local market, but if you can't the premium shipping cost might just be worth it.

Promising review: "Absolute perfect seasoning for chicken, soups, sauces, salsa, etc. Perfectly balanced and bold but not too bold." —Christine H.

Got these to cover an Islander themed buyout at my restaurant to save some time during the chaos. Needless to say, the guests loved everything. The subtle yet flavorful addition these brought to my dishes were well received and I will be buying again for personal use." —NS.Key
