Promising review: "Who writes a review about beans? Somebody who loves beans but had given up on them, until now. This is a great product. Canned beans from my local supermarket are always a disappointment so I stopped getting them. I don't have time to cook beans myself but A Dozen Cousins beans are fresh and taste terrific. I am trying to eat healthier and these are a great way to do that. I've been trying to avoid packaged, processed foods but the natural ingredients make these different. I can feel good about eating them. The beans are whole and not mashed up like in cans. All of the varieties are seasoned well and versatile. I've had them on their own, in salads and in wrap sandwiches. I'm really happy to have found these and hope they continue to add new flavors and products. Do yourself a favor and order some. You won't regret it." —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "When I bought my first bag of coconut milk powder, I wasn't sure what to do with it. My recipes were experimental and, mostly, a flop. I finally figured out how to make my own coconut whipped cream, though. Basically, it's two parts coconut milk powder to one part almost-boiling water. Add sweetener to taste. It's best to whip it with a mixer, the longer the better. A little coconut milk powder makes a big batch of coconut whipped cream, and it tastes every bit as good as it does when you use coconut milk in a can. Kept in a covered dish in the fridge, it lasts a few days. This is much more economical, plus you don't have to worry about preservatives." —Maria M

Promising review: "I absolutely fell in love with this product. I use it on so many things: apple slices, hard-boiled eggs, watermelon, cottage cheese, salads, chicken, chicken salad, etc. The list goes on because this seasoning is so versatile. It’s NOT spicy hot. More tangy and salty. It reminds me a little of Pica Limon. First I bought the small container, then I bought the larger one, and now I’m a two-pack purchaser. If you’re reading this, you’re probably in the same boat. Wonder if they make it in a 'handle' sized jug? I keep one at home, at work, and in my lunch bag!" —CROCHET QUEEN

Promising review: "I grew up in Southern California eating great Mexican food all the time, in my 20s I moved to the east coast and good carne asada tacos are harder to come by. I tried a bunch of recipes I found online and although I made some pretty good tacos, they were never exactly right. Then one day I got lucky and stumbled into this stuff. This is the flavor I was looking for." —An Individual

Promising review: "Terrific! Slightly spicier than the other brands I have tried, although this is not really a spicy paste in general (not my version anyway). Absolutely wonderful on a 10-hour slow cooker pork loin. Just plop in the loin, dump the whole jar over the meat, and heat it on low for 10 hours. It will fall apart when it's done, and taste terrific over rice, sliced cooked potatoes, bread, whatever. I like strong flavors, so I added a hint of Trader Joe's salt, garlic, pepper blend, and a sprinkle of crushed red Aleppo pepper. It was divine. You could use just this alone, really. Sprinkle on a few scallions before serving it." —Chris

Promising review: "Celery salt is a staple in my kitchen and this brand is outstanding! It does wonders for egg salad and many savory dishes. The smell of this is fresh and appetizing. The taste is equally satisfying, and the value is great. I have tried other Happy Belly spices and have yet to be disappointed. In fact, so far they’ve exceeded my expectations. Give this a try! I’m sure you’ll be as pleased as I am." —Katherine E. O'Rourke

Promising review: "I made chicken with Slap Ya Mama — I spread it on like a rub, if you like your food to make your mouth burn use in that way. Otherwise use it sparingly at first so you can gauge just how spicy you want the food to be. I am not knocking this product — I love it. I just wasn't ready for the amount of heat is all and I use it every day. I just use a smaller amount for me on food. Be careful with it at first and then you will know how much is a good amount to use." —Billy Furtado

Promising review: "Someone at work had salt and vinegar popcorn and it was like crack to me! I LOVE salt and vinegar chips so to have popcorn taste like that was amazing. So I searched high and low and there are a few different brands on Amazon and after reading all the reviews I went with this. BOOM baby this is IT! A few people complained this tasted chemically or was off, well its salt and vinegar so clearly you don't want to dump it down your throat but if you sprinkle a light dusting...PERFECTION! I got yelled at for spending $10 on this but I did it anyway and the bottle is pretty big so to me it's completely worth it." —iluvdabeer

Promising review: "I tend to shy away from spicy foods, but I couldn’t resist the opportunity to try a new condiment to liven up snacks and recipes with. I was afraid the spice would be overpowering, but it’s actually quite mellow and smooth; just the right touch of heat. So far, I’ve enjoyed this on fruit salad (banana/strawberry/blueberry) with cottage cheese and drizzled on the original Chick-fil-A sandwich....so delicious!" —Sleeps in Rain

Promising review: "I've been using Aardvark for quite some time and it's still one of my favorite sauces. At any given time I have three to five hot sauces in my fridge and this one always hits the spot. This sauce has replaced Sriracha for me. Don't get me wrong, I'll always use Sriracha for pho or most Asian foods. This sauce is just great on EVERYTHING (pizza, meats, eggs, fried rice). It's a bargain for the price and the amount you get. It tastes very similar to the Hot One's sauce at a fraction of the price. I've become desensitized to the spice so it might be a bit 'hot' for some, but if you like spicy foods/sauces definitely give this one a try." —Mikey

Promising review: "Two ways I like this best — to marinate boneless skinless thighs in ranch sauce then sprinkle garlic Parm on them before cooking. Yummy! And bake chicken wings until they are super crispy then sprinkle this all over them, put them in a bowl and toss them as you sprinkle the dust. Really really good." —Amazon Lover

Promising review: "I was hit with a powerful and wonderful aroma as soon as I opened the jar. I couldn’t wait to try it. I sprinkled it over some meatballs that I was heating for lunch. Wow! Very nice. It improved them 100%. I’ll be using this a lot. The flavor is smokey and spicy (but not too hot) and distinctly North African. If you enjoy foods from that region then this is a must. I like that they don’t add salt or MSG. I’ve always made my own harissa seasoning (and other blends) to avoid added salt. I prefer to add that separately. But now I’ve found one I can purchase ready-made. For a mass-produced name-brand it is a little on the pricey side, but not too expensive. I can definitely recommend it to those willing to try something new and/or who already love North African cuisine." —Walter

Promising review: "The flavor that Black Magic adds to my steaks in incredible. It's got a perfect amount of salty, with tastes of onion and garlic. I don't know if the charcoal that's in the ingredients has anything to do with the flavor, and the fact that charcoal is an ingredient seems odd, but once I tasted it, that aspect no longer mattered. I sprinkled both sides liberally and set them in the fridge overnight. Shortly before they were cooked, medium-rare, I smeared the steaks with some butter. So good." —C/O Jim

Promising review: "Wife or husband don't know how to season? BAM! Problem solved. The girlfriend always asks while cooking 'What should I put on this chicken or pork?'. BAM! Problem solved! Kickass seasoning, cheap, but really does go great on pretty much any kind of meat! Especially fish, or any kind of seafood! It DOES have a kick to it, so if you don't like spicy you may not like it. It's not crazy hot, just a hint of spice in there." —Drew Patterson

Promising review: "I was a bit worried about a 'coffee' rub, but this stuff is great. Adds a nice sweet flavor with a hint of coffee. Great for pork or chicken. Promising review: "WOW! How did they do it? This is possibly the best salt substitute I've found. The flavor could be best described as a tangy mirepoix. I definitely taste lemon/lime, garlic, celery, and carrot, but there is a distinct 'salty' flavor to it that is missing from other 'salt-free' spice mixes. Which is amazing, because my taste buds tell me it's salty... but it's not! There is NO metallic, chemical aftertaste to this seasoning at all. It is NOT like 'light' salt or that gross 'NoSalt' stuff that my grandparents used to keep around their house. It is sooooo much better. From what I can read on the label (my eyes are kinda bad) it is just a simple blend of herbs and spices. I've tried it on chicken, popcorn, and even salads and haven't been disappointed yet. For basic baked/grilled meats, steamed vegetables, rice, and eggs, it definitely works for me. I knew it was a winner when I put it on some popcorn. I ate a whole bowl of popcorn completely without salt and didn't miss it at all! I'm definitely sneaking some of this into the theater next time with the illicit bags of homemade air-popped popcorn. If you're like me and you're just trying to stay healthy by cutting back on salt, try a small shaker of it first and see what you think. Me, I'm gonna go back and buy the big bag. This one's a keeper." —Spubba
