If you're not up to date with the saga of rapper Lil Xan, his pregnant fiancée Annie Smith, and Miley Cyrus' little sister Noah, allow me to catch you up.
On February 18, Lil Xan — whose real name is Nicholas Diego Leanos — announced via Instagram that his girlfriend, Annie Smith, was five weeks' pregnant.
Well, the story really took a turn this past weekend after Annie posted a video to her YouTube channel showing off the first ultrasound scans of the baby.
One Instagram account, Xanarchy Tea, posted screenshots of the ultrasounds shown in the video alongside photos that come up when you Google things like "week 9 ultrasound", claiming the pictures "line up perfectly" when placed on top of each other.
While the comments on Annie and Diego's most recent Instagram posts have been disabled, their older posts are being bombarded with comments claiming they shared fake ultrasound photos and — in some cases — accusing them of faking the pregnancy altogether.
Now Annie has addressed the accusations in an interview with E! News, calling the situation "disappointing" and saying she's upset the baby news has become "a negative thing".
"When I posted my YouTube video with my ultrasound pictures, a girl (I'm not going to comment on who) photoshopped them with another persons name, year, birthday etc, and uploaded them to Google," she explained.
"In my opinion it doesn't matter what anyone else says," Annie concluded. "It's a special time between my fiancé and I and like I said, we are very happy. That's all that matters."
I guess we'll just have to wait and see what unfolds next.
