We all know that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are — to put it mildly — rich as fuck.
Like, their birthday presents to each other range from a $70,000 handbag decorated with baby handprints to an entire island. That's how rich.
And while they obviously fly on private jets regularly — because that's what rich people do — they recently stepped it up a notch. Because yesterday Kim posted a series of Instagram stories from their privately hired Boeing 747.
The plane was basically a flying hotel. There were full bedrooms complete with ensuite bathrooms, several lounge areas, and a dining area.
"This is what Kanye meant when he said he wanted his office in the sky," Kim said on her story. "I thought it was kind of crazy, but this is genius."
The videos had a lot of people envying Kim and Kanye's bank balances.

But mostly, people took to social media to point out how the "obnoxious and unnecessary" display would negatively affect the environment.
So @KimKardashian & @kanyewest just boarded a private 747 only for themselves and their trainer. I guess working out in a plane is more important than the environment! Priorities kids!

One person called it "so unbelievably wasteful" and pointed out that Kimye have the resources to travel sustainably, but choose to do the opposite for "an Instagram flex".

I don’t know the circumstances of why Kim flew on a private 747 (and she has the entire to do so) but in my head I’m just like: CARBON FOOTPRINT Like, the amount of gas it takes to flight that thing is surreal and it all just seems crazy unnecessary to me...
