You may have noticed it's 2 May 2018, and as any hardcore Harry Potter fan will know, that means it's the 20th anniversary of the Battle of Hogwarts. I can't think about it too much, because if I do, I'll just start crying.
You may also have noticed that over the last few years it's become a tradition for J.K. Rowling to apologise for killing off one of the characters who died during the battle.
Last year she took the opportunity to apologise for killing Severus Snape. Which, like, is fine. But if you know anything about me (and you probably don't), you'll know that I wasn't really that mad about this one, TBH.
I'm just saying, Colin Creevey deserved better.
Anyway, it's that time of year again, and this time JKR strayed from tradition and apologised for the death of a character who didn't even meet their end during the Battle of Hogwarts.
And although it's an apology that we definitely deserved, and has been a long time coming, I'm still not sure I'm ready to forgive her.
I WILL NEVER BE OVER THIS, JO.
And a lot of other people seem to think – even though it's been 11 years – that it's still too soon to bring it up.
Maybe next year we'll get justice for Colin Creevey.
