And when Chloë was asked feminism during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, she explained why she thinks young people are afraid to call identify as feminist.
She eloquently explained that she thinks young people consider "feminist" to be a polarising word.
The word's become incredibly polarising lately and I don't really know why. I talked to a lot of young women during the caucusing time and a lot of them were really scared to admit that they were feminists. I think that we need to get to a point where it's more about gender neutrality and less about just feminism, and just raising one particular sect. I think we need to make it more neutral, because I think the word's become demonised a little bit.
