Singer Dua Lipa has issued a statement in support of her fans after some audience members were forcibly removed from her concert in Shanghai on Wednesday.
In videos posted to social media, it's possible to see fans being dragged out of their seats by security officials and kicked out of the arena.

Outside of the concert, the guards even kicked a fan physically...
It's unclear exactly why the fans were removed from the venue, although some said it was because they tried to stand up and dance during the concert. Others were allegedly removed for waving LGBT pride flags.
The guards took fans out of the show only because they wanted to stand up to dance with Dua Lipa during her show in Shanghai, China. And unsurprisingly the pride flag was also taken away by guards. Savage. Dua herself was sad on stage too.
Dua seemed to reference the situation while onstage. She looked tearful and addressed the crowd, saying, "I want to create a really safe environment for us all to have fun."

"I want us all to dance, I want us all to sing. I want us all to just have a really good time," she told the crowd. "We're not here for very much longer — we have only a few more songs. But I would love for these last few songs for us to really, really, really enjoy ourselves. How about that?"
And in a statement posted to her social media accounts, Dua addressed the situation further and expressed her support for the fans who were affected.

"I will stand by you all for your love and beliefs and I am proud and grateful that you felt safe enough to show your pride at my show," she wrote.
"I was horrified by what happened and I send love to all my fans involved," she went on. "I would love to come back for my fans when the time is right and hopefully see a room full of rainbows."
