Here's Our First Proper Look At Timothée Chalamet And Steve Carell In "Beautiful Boy"

"I love you more than everything."

It's been a good few months since Timothée Chalamet sat in front of a fire crying for five minutes and shattered all our hearts into tiny pieces at the end of Call Me By Your Name, so I'm sure you're all over it by now.

But I have some news for you! The first trailer for his new movie, Beautiful Boy, just dropped, and it looks like it's going to be even more heartbreaking than anything you've seen before.

The movie tells the true story of Nic Sheff, a young man dealing with meth addiction and his recovery.

It also focuses on Nic's relationship with his father, played by Steve Carell, and how his addiction affected their family.

One scene – which people called "emotionally harrowing" after it was screened at CinemaCon earlier this year – shows a recently relapsed Nic arguing with his dad in a diner.

The trailer shows a significant amount of that particular scene, and it's pretty devastating.

But the rest of the shots and snippets of dialogue we get from the trailer prove the rest of the movie is going to be just as heartbreaking.

"I still have a family," Nic says at one point. "I want them to be proud of me."

And the trailer ends with Nic's dad saying to him: "Do you know how much I love you? I love you more than everything."

Beautiful Boy will be released on 12 October.
