Hugh Grant Apparently Regrets All Of His Iconic Rom-Com Roles And I Am Distraught

How could anyone regret Two Weeks Notice?

This is Hugh Grant. Certified silver fox and leading man in all of our fave romantic comedies growing up.

Well recently, on an episode of Close Up with The Hollywood Reporter, Hugh said that every decision he's made in regard to his success "was probably wrong."

You heard that correctly — Hugh Grant wishes he did "different stuff" after the success of Four Weddings and a Funeral back in 1994.

Hugh is referring to the many romantic comedies he starred in after Four Weddings, including: Bridges Jones's Diary, Two Weeks Notice, Nine Months, and, my personal favorite, Notting Hill.

As someone who grew up falling in love with Hugh Grant, film after film, this statement was upsetting to me. But Hugh had his reasons:

Hugh then further explains that he can't be that mad that he took all those roles, because it did lead him to success.

But, overall, he wishes he did things differently.

On a level, I understand what Hugh is saying, I do. But I can't help but be upset that, if given the chance, he would not take the roles in the iconic films that so many of us hold dear in our hearts.

Luckily for us, time machines don't exist, so we don't ever have to wonder what it's like living in a world where Hugh Grant doesn't play Daniel Cleaver.
