If you look at this bitcoin price chart for 2015, you see major sideways action. From January 2015, through now, September 2015, the price of bitcoin has been between $200-$300 USD range.
If you look at the months before 2015, and even way before that, there is one thing that speculators from the sidelines have said about bitcoin: "It's volatile."
Those days are far from being over. However, for the last nine months now the price of bitcoin has been constant, which means that the technology behind bitcoin and the currency that powers it are stable, which is a huge indicator that bitcoin is growing up and the entire landscape is maturing.
