People Are Wishing They Knew About This Press-On Nail Removal Hack A Lot Earlier In Life

Only try this with press-ons, peeps!

In the midst of a pandemic, I think it's fair to assume that hitting up a nail salon is at the bottom of most people's to-do lists.

For those of us whose self-manicure skills are lacking (don't look at me), press-on nails are a great option to keep you looking fresh as fuck during a Netflix and chill sesh.

The only problem? The glue-on ones that a lot of companies sell are a pain in the ass — and nail — to take off. And I know none of us want to be dealing with an excruciating broken nail situation right now!

Luckily, there's a viral video circulating on TikTok that shows you how to easily remove press-on nails! It was uploaded by a press-on nail company called Sugarclaws and currently has 48.6 million views on the platform.

The video shows someone adding argan oil to a bowl of soapy water and letting their nails soak.

After dipping their hand in a few times, they press off their fake nail with ease.

The audio that the video uses leads back to another tutorial that shows someone mixing oil into very hot water, and letting their nails soak in it for 30 minutes before GENTLY pressing them off.

I had an adhesive tab and glue on that’s why it looks funny. #QualityTime #ComfortFood #pressonnailremoval #pressonnailbusiness

Bottom line? Use hot soapy water, mix in that argan oil, let those bad boys soak, and badda bing badda boom — they should slip right off.

A few nail technicians in the comments have warned that this method does NOT work with the acrylics you get at a salon, so please don't try this if you're not wearing press-ons.

Now go forth and be fabulous!
