We Finally Have A Release Date For "It: Chapter Two," Which Is Exciting, But Also Annoying

At least it's not 27 years.

In case you hadn't heard, It is a really fucking great movie. It's also now the highest-grossing horror film of all time in the US.

The latest adaptation of Stephen King's iconic novel has raked in $236.34 million domestically in only TWO weeks. For comparison, the previous record-holder was 1973's The Exorcist, which made $232.9 million (not accounting for inflation).

SO, it should come as zero surprise that the sequel to the film (which isn't REALLY a sequel, so much as the second half of the story from the novel) JUST got the official green light.

And we can't wait to find out WHO will be cast as the older versions of the Losers' Club from the first film.

As reported by Deadline, the studio just announced that It: Chapter Two will come out Sept. 6, 2019.

Ugh, I KNOW... that's almost two whole years away.

It's a smart move on the studio's part, though, because this means It: Chapter Two will come out just after Labor Day — i.e., the same time when It came out this year (Sept. 8).
