Response to The 23 Most Boston Things To Ever Happen:
Ben Franklin was born in Boston; he attended the Boston Latin School, and didn’t move to Philadelphia until he was 17—def. more linked with Philadelphia, of course, but there is def. justification for reenactors being in Boston, too.
Response to Of Course The Academy Awards Was Sexist:
Well-written and well said; thank you! It’s a shame the same old intellectually stunted “excuses” for the behavior occupy most of this comment section (a—there are more ~important things to worry about! b—fun with population ratios! ha. c—objectors just have no sense of humor!)… I can’t wait until someone does a parody called “I saw your dick!” to call out “notable” actors who’ve ~enhanced the narratives of their films in such a way. It’ll be about 10 seconds long because it’s so comparatively rare that such respected Academy Award-worthy male actors are compelled to show their bits. [Apart from Sir Ewan MacGregor, and—all respect due, but he’s not been nominated since Trainspotting.]
Response to Snowstorm Nemo Hits The East Coast:
I don’t mean to add to the cliche of Defensive New Englander, but “Bostoners” are a Hasidic community that presumably avoids beerfests, whereas Bostonians are known for the Packie.
Not sure why this is tagged “Japan”…
