a bunch of the “Teachers Dont Deserve $100K A Year” crowd who gotta stay home with their kids now and homeschool them are figuring out that teaching one or two kids is hard enough let alone 28 of them lol

Parents finding out them teachers ain’t lying on them kids 💀

Been homeschooling a 6-year old and 8-year old for one hour and 11 minutes. Teachers deserve to make a billion dollars a year. Or a week.

At the end of the first day of my kids being out of school after our attempts at “homeschooling”... my conclusion... teachers are superheroes. The end.

Me: *explains math problem* Tween: I don’t understand. Me: *explains the exact same way except more aggravated*

No school, Day 1 7:15am: we have puzzles, activity books, stickers... we’ll get through this! 8:03am: *googles boarding schools with no coronavirus*

I’ve homeschooled my kids for 1 day and I’ve already learned so much, like their teachers need a huge raise and also I should never ever be a teacher.

Observations 2.5 hours into homeschooling 4 kids -teachers need to make more than professional athletes, CEO’s, and all of Hollywood combined -homeschooling will NOT be on our future plan after this is over -never too early for a drink

If people didn’t already believe that teachers deserve raises, the next several weeks of folks homeschooling their kids are really about to prove it.

[home schooling, day 1] Me: I know this is hard. 12: Me: I know it’s frustrating. 12: Me: But we’ll get through it. 12: Me: Now explain this math to me just once more, I’m very close to understanding it.

seeing a lot of tweets about how folks are newly appreciating teachers w/kids at home and well...I really hope you mean it. when I was a teacher never did I work so hard, stretch so much intellectually, emotionally, and physically. and never was I so regularly disrespected.

I am 30 minutes into home schooling my 6 year old. I suggest that all school teachers are paid £1m per year from now on.

I wonder how many parents homes schooling today still think teaching is an easy profession and teachers are overpaid? Keeping in mind teachers have 30 kids per class. Teachers may be getting some sweet notes or treats or maybe even some apologies in a few weeks. 😃

Seeing parents on Facebook complain about their kids, and somewhere the teachers are like, "I told you so!"

This pandemic has already revealed that: - schools are so much more than just schools. - many people now realize how tough it is to be a teacher and that teachers are grossly underpaid. - teachers are irreplaceable and essential to learning and education. #homeschooling
