    1. Seraphic Skincare's Korean Exfoliating Mitt scrubs away dead skin leaving you ready for a biggggg night in of applying your fake tanner. And if that's not your thing — no worries — it also helps unclog pores, prevent ingrown hairs, and eliminate bumps caused by keratosis pilaris.

Promising review: "Right out of the box I could tell these mitts were going to be exactly what I needed. Excellent quality and easy to use! I’ve tried them twice already and my skin is now incredibly smooth! After I scrubbed my arm, I looked at the mitt and saw it was covered with dead skin cells. Promising review: "I wasn't sure if this would work at first because the texture is like body lotion, but after a couple of days I could really see the difference both in terms of hydration and acne! It’s such a great face wash! I have struggled with my acne for years and have tried a billion different products and none of them worked like this one. My face looked flawless just two weeks after I used this. I don't do a lot of reviews but I’m glad I bought this and I'm writing this review after having bought it for the third time. Trust me, this is a really good product." —RONGHUI XIE

Promising review: "This stuff is amazing! I saw this as a beauty recommendation on BuzzFeed as a dupe for Olaplex (which I had tried and wasn't blown away by) so I thought I would give it a try — and I'm so thankful I did! My bleached and heat-damaged hair feels so soft, is more manageable, and looks healthier after each use. I agree with other reviewers that it seems like a big price tag for the size of the bottle, but a little bit does go a long way and it is so worth it. I wish it came in a larger size bottle so I didn't have to reorder so quickly." —Carly S. Whitson

Promising review: "I've had KP badly on my legs and arms all my life. I never felt comfortable wearing shorts or skirts, bathing suits, or having anyone touch my legs. I'm 35, and can count on one hand how many times I've worn shorts. This has been the first product to ever REALLY make a difference. And I've only used it three times!! I'm pairing it with Cerave SA Cream (which never did anything on its own). It's not 100% gone yet, but boy, it's made a huge difference already. My legs have never been softer. I am so grateful for this product. It's rare you find a product that will make a REAL impact on your life. This one has for me. I can't wait to wear shorts this summer!!" —MissAnnaWearsNoShorts

Promising review: "I have the driest heels and this is the ONLY product that has ever worked. Before I used this my heels had some pretty deep cracks and now they're almost baby soft again. BUT please follow the directions...left it on my super dry thick callused heels for only three minutes and the calluses were literally melting off! Wonderful product! So glad I don't have to go soak my feet in those used tubs at the nail salon anymore." —Key2Del

Promising review: "This is a life-changing product for me. I have HUGE visible pores that really age my face, as well as incredibly acne-prone skin that makes me break out from just about every product. I've started to use NYX Pore Filler on my face with some regularity, and it doesn't seem to cause any irritation or breakouts. It does an AMAZING job filling in and smoothing out my face texture. The difference to my skin consistency is astounding. My skin looks so smooth when I use this product. Promising review: "This rolling device is like pure magic. You simply roll it around your oily areas and BOOM the oil magically vanishes into the ball never to be seen again! This is an item that #tiktokmademebuy for sure! I saw a video on TikTok and immediately went on the hunt only to be disappointed that this item was sold out everywhere! I eventually got added to a waiting list her on Amazon and once they had it in stock again, they charged my card and sent it my way! If you have the chance to purchase this and you have oily skin, get yourself on the waiting list if you need to and just kick it until it shows up. You will be pleased. Thank me later. ;)" —Veronica Cooper

    Kayla Boyd / BuzzFeed

BuzzFeed editor Kayla Boyd tried this out and raves:

"As someone who isn't a big fan of false lashes (the glue irritates my eyes and I'm terrible at applying them) this budget-friendly holy grail does the trick for both lengthening and volumizing my lashes. After you've given it a minute to dry, it lasts all day long and doesn't smudge or fade. It seriously gives the effect of false lashes without the discomfort."

Promising review: "After using Lights, Camera, Lashes by Tarte for the past year, I got tired of breaking the bank over mascara. My sister suggested Essence Lash Princess False Lash Effect and I IMMEDIATELY fell in love. It provides dramatic length and great volume. I can honestly say I can’t stop looking at my eyelashes in the mirror every single day because of how awesome they look. Also, it is very long-wearing. I go from an eight-hour workday right to the gym and sweat like wild...and this stuff doesn’t budge! I love it!!" —Carrie E Miller

I spent every weekend for about a month going to Ulta buying high-end face moisturizers and eye creams and then returning them because my dry skin had gotten soooooo bad on my face and especially under my eyes and nothing was helping! I am someone with super dry skin.....My eyes are still a little drier than I would like but this has helped tremendously and more than any other product. I was about to give up on even wearing concealer because it was looking so dry and crepey but my concealer is looking good again since I've been using this for a few weeks! I am also noticing a small change in my fine lines. Like others I started using this as a face cream as well and I could not live without this product! Promising review: "If you have age/sun spots on your face, this is for you. It was very affordable and works well. It says to use twice a day. I don't have time for that. I used it once a day and it took a little longer but you will definitely get results. Just be patient a few weeks and then one day you will look in the mirror and WOW, you will see the difference. I had a very noticeable spot on my face I was concentrating on as I hated that sucker. It is almost totally gone. I can see that it is going to go completely away. My friend noticed it fading and had to know how I did it. She bought it and is totally happy with it. It takes very very little. I used a cotton swab to get it exactly where I wanted it. I could not be happier!" —AJW

    16. Bio-Oil is sure to come in clutch for anyone who spent their teen years picking and prodding at pimples. If you were left with acne scars and skin damage as a result, it'll swoop in and encourage new collagen production and help with elasticity.

Promising review: "If I could give this product more than 5 stars, I would. Let me tell you my story. A few months ago I bought a new product made with charcoal (won't mention the brand or name) and it was formulated to minimize pores. It BURNED my skin. My cheeks, chin, and forehead were on fire. My skin was cracked, red, itchy, swollen, and EXTREMELY dry. I tried using moisturizer, aloe vera, Vaseline... EVERYTHING was hurting my skin even more. A friend told me about Bio-Oil and I decided to give it a try. Immediately after the first application my skin felt so much better. As I was massaging the oil into my skin I could feel the peeled skin coming off. My face wasn't feeling itchy anymore, and the dryness disappeared immediately. It only took two applications of this oil to make my skin heal almost completely. Now I use it on a daily basis, two times a day (morning and night) and my skin has never felt so healthy. This is the best product I've ever tried, and trust me, I've tried A LOT." —Natalia Vazquez

    17. Eden BodyWorks Coconut Shea Curl Defining Creme styles thick curls and coils without any crunch so you don't walk out of your bathroom looking like an NSYNC-era Justin Timberlake.

    Eden BodyWorks

Eden BodyWorks is a Black woman-owned business established in 2004 that specializes in natural products to nurture, restore, and maintain hair. Reviewers with 2c–4c hair mention it working well for them!

Promising review: "This curl defining creme is really good, and I consider it a must have. I have 4a, high density, low porosity, coarse hair. This gives my hair great definition and moisture. I think it works best as a part of the LCO method. Personally, I dampen my hair with water, apply this crème, and then follow up with a little bit of apricot or sweet almond oil. It doesn't mix well with products from other brands or other products in general other than oil, but that's not a bad thing considering you don't need anything else. Would definitely recommend this over curl-defining crèmes from other brands." —Crh

    18. And K18's Leave-In Molecular Repair Hair Mask is a must-have for anyone who regularly bleaches, colors, or styles their hair with heat tools. The four-minute miracle worker repairs all sort of damage and leaves you with silky, straight-from-the-salon tresses.

a buzzfeed editor with soft blonde hair
a bottle of k18 repair hair mask
    Melanie Aman / BuzzFeed, Sephora

And here's more from my BF Shopping colleague Melanie Aman:

"I bleach my dark brown-black Asian hair blonde every six to eight weeks, so I was immediately intrigued when I first heard some stylists at my salon raving about K18. And it turns out the rest of the world loves it too, because it was sold out at Sephora the first time I tried to buy it. I eventually snagged a itty bitty tester on Amazon and was gobsmacked at how much softer my hair was. Seriously. I spent the whole day touching my hair, and even my boyfriend agreed that my mane was noticeably silkier.

Olaplex was my go-to before I tried K18 and I still stand by it as a product, but I really love that K18 is a leave-in treatment rather than an in-shower mask. Having to let the Olaplex sit for 10 minutes felt like forever, especially when I wasn't taking an everything shower (you know, the ones where you exfoliate and shave). With K18, you let it sit in your hair for four minutes post shower to activate and then you can style your hair (or just let it air dry like I do).

I've found that my hair is softest the next day, so don't be discouraged if your hair looks or feels the same the day you use it. One last thing: it is pretty pricey but a little goes a long way. The 5 mL tube I bought has lasted ~five washes, and eventually K18 can become a maintenance product so you won't need to use it every time you wash your hair."

Promising review: "Can I add 5 MORE stars?! This product is a game changer in so many ways. So simple, so quick, so effective. My hair has never felt softer, shinier, and somehow as if I've got more of it. I believe this is partly because I'm getting some of my natural texture back as it becomes healthier with every K18 use. I'd recommend this product to literally ANYONE who has hair!" —CJaymes

Get the trial size (5 mL) from Amazon for $12 and the mini size (15 mL) or standard size (50 mL) from Sephora for $29+.

    19. Perfect Image's Glycolic Acid 30% Gel Peel removes dull, uneven layers of epidermal skin and stimulates cellular activity to reveal a softer, healthier complexion underneath. The professional-strength formula — which is boosted with retinol and green tea — also allows your skin to better absorb future products.

Promising review: "This stuff is absolutely incredible. In January of 2017 I finally decided to try an at-home peel in conjunction with retinoids. Take a look at the photos I posted and you'll see how happy I am with my progress (after photo on the right taken June 2017.) I've used this peel once a week and have had incredible results. Previously I did three rounds of Fraxel, which only resulted in severe pain, peeling, and grossness. Oh yes, and an empty savings account. For 30 bucks every few months I achieved better results than I got at a dermatologist's office." —Meredith

Get it from Amazon for $26.96.

    20. Jack Black's Intense Therapy Lip Balm protects your smackers with vitamin E, natural emollients, and SPF 25 because yes — you can sunburn your kisser and no, I don't recommend it.

Promising review: "I have used Avon's Beyond Color sheer lip conditioner for over a decade and they DISCONTINUED IT!!! WHY!? So, I've been hunting for something comparable and WOW...it's not easy. Everything is greasy, or actually makes my lips peel!! Haven't had that issue since I was a dehydrated teenager. I've wasted a lot of money, but this!! Not only is it just as nice as my beloved Avon, dare I say — it's better!! AND I'm not needing to use it 20 times a day. I think that's a true testimony to a product working and doing what it's supposed to do. You actually don't need it as often! Thank you Jack Black for designing a product that does what it says it does. I'm a customer for life." —T-NAY

    21. Missha's Soft Finish Sun Milk promises long-lasting SPF 50+ protection as it's able to withstand sweat and even tears if you're just overwhelmed by how beautiful the weather is.

In the progression photos above, you can see a reviewer before applying the sun milk, after applying the sun milk, and then the sun milk under makeup.

Promising review: "I have dark, oily skin and purchased this product after reading recommendations. There is no white cast; you can barely see it upon application unless you use too much. You definitely do not need a lot, it spreads thin. When it dries, any color is gone. It also helps slow down my face getting all greasy as the day goes on, which I love. My skin is very, very oily but I can still apply this after my moisturizer and feel totally comfortable. I'm not a fan of scents, and the scent on this is extremely mild." —Ms. Renee

    RevAir, Chantel Turner / BuzzFeed

Take it from my BuzzFeed Shopping colleague Chantel Turner!:

"I own this amazing device and it is the best straightening product I've ever tried. It has always been impossible for me to straighten my curly roots with a traditional blow-dryer, so I always had to flat iron my hair afterwards. I have naturally curly hair so all that heat has resulted in a lot of damage. With this product, I don't have to do that anymore. My hair is straight from my roots to my ends after using this. I also love that I can't feel the heat on my scalp at all! I have thick 3c hair and doing my entire head takes about 10–15 minutes. The device can take a little getting used to but MyRevAir and YouTube have tons of helpful tutorial featuring people with all different hair textures and types successfully using the dryer. (Psst...You can also use this to instantly dry dreads, braid-outs, twist-outs, or stretch your natural hair in minutes!)."

Promising review: "I am amazed at the results of my hair after using my RevAir. I have always had the worst shrinkage and couldn't find a way to stretch out my hair when I did a twist. This is revolutionary; not only did it stretch my hair but my twist-out was popping!" —Marquet S.

The waterproof patches last 12 hours or through six applications of sunscreen — whichever comes first. When purple, it's time to reapply and when clear, you're good to go!

Promising review: "As a person some call a day walker, I am in LOVE with the concept of these — I cannot tell you how many times I asked myself the question 'should I put on more sunscreen?' when it's too late... and I'm as red as a lobster. When I read the description, I just had to buy them. Big fan of the packaging and portability, really ingenious idea. According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, yearly there are 5.4+ million cases of skin cancer are treated in more than 3.3 million people... and it's time to start being better. They just arrived in the mail and my wife and I immediately put one on and lathered up with sunscreen and are sitting in the front yard — putting them to the test! Here is to a happier, healthier, future ahead!" —CopperStad

    26. Etude House's Zero Sebum Drying Powder keeps oily skin at bay with a mineral formula that mattifies, but doesn't clump or cake. Just tap it on after your regular skincare and/or makeup routine and you'll be able to go a whole day without looking like you were dipped in a deep fryer.

Promising review: "Ohhhhh my god, I'm two weeks in with this product and let me tell you... My skin is usually so oily — to the point where I've been asked on multiple occasions if I'm hot because my face looks sweaty. I legit could not wear makeup without having to start blotting my face one hour in. I'm so oily that no matter how much I blot or how little makeup I put on, I end up looking like a vat of grease. When I apply this powder, I look like a perfect matte doll. After two hours, I'm STILL MATTE. And after four, I'm mostly matte (light amount of oil). And with a little blotting, it looks like I put on a fresh face of makeup. No stickiness after oil blotting, no having to reapply, and still kicking ass for a full 8 hours. This stuff works so good that even after I wash my face, I've noticed a decrease in the excess oil I produce!!! I've tried all kinds of mattifying sprays, setting powders, face washes, and toners with empty promises. But this WORKS. P.S.: I'm Black, soooo if you are darker, put this on under your make up to prevent a slightly ashy look. And P.S. TO ALL: moisturize REALLY GOOD before putting this on. A little goes a long way. They now have a forever customer." —zhanna

One pump is enough for my face, or two for my face and neck. Because of this it will last! It works amazingly well and considering how much you get, this is an amazing product. I highly recommend it." —JH

Promising review: "I saw these all over my TikTok FYP and was so curious to try them. The Mariposa nails are the first ones that I have tried and they are absolutely beautiful, and just after two days I have gotten so many compliments. The glue holds super well and the application process was super simple. I don't think that I will ever get acrylic nails again, as a set like this would likely be three times the price." —Leslie and Paige

Promising review: "This product... There is so much I can say. I’ve used so many other cuticle oils, and they’ve only kept them oily and smooth for about two hours... This stuff not only smells like heaven, but it’s a HUGE bottle for the price, which was the first perk.... Then I used It for my own manicures and OMG. My cuticles were still smooth the next day when I went to work. It not only softened them, but helped the dry skin on the areas that it got on. The smell is wonderful. I’ve been putting it on at night before bed, and it lasts ALL DAY the next day. About a week of use so far, and I’ve had at least two people ask me how my cuticles look like they do, and did I JUST get a manicure?! NOPE! It’s this stuff. I swear I would buy stock in it if I could." —Whitney Bryant

Promising review: "I LOVE the smell of this! Bought it due to frizzing from coloring my hair, but really didn't believe that it shortened drying time. I mean, how can something putting moisture on you hair shorten the drying time, right? I was shocked. I don't know if it cut it down by 50%, but I did notice blow-drying my hair took quit a bit less time. I am sold on this stuff. Makes my hair feel like silk, but not greasy (I was worried about it making my hair greasy) and it takes only a few sprays to get the results. I hold it about 15 inches from my head and spray the top, both sides, and the back once, then rub it in with my hands. Perfect!" —Janice C. Henderson

Here's how I used it: I wore down the stick just a little to where the texture from the salt is visible, scrubbed around on my face so there was plenty of product, and then I used my fingers to gently massage all the gunk away. Rinse, pat dry, and enjoy the softness. Highly recommended for people with sensitive skin like myself." —LuckLocust
