Tallulah Willis, Demi Moore And Bruce Willis's Daughter, Posted Cruel Messages From Body Shamers, And It's So Messed Up

    I love Demi Moore's comment.

This post includes discussion of body image issues.

Demi Moore sent a message of support to her daughter, Tallulah Willis, after she opened up about receiving body-shaming comments online.

Tallulah shared the post on Instagram on Monday, in response to cruel messages she'd received from an unnamed person about her physical appearance.

"I think it’s important to share this, that this happens, that this happens to a healing person in recovery, who has been honest about how very sick she was/is and is working daily to find safety and home within her skin," said Tallulah, who has spoken before about having body image issues.

"It felt really important to show you this, that this happens," she continued. "I'm very thankful I’ve gotten to a place where I don’t become dismantled by strangers words (for the most part). I love you and I like you - myself, buuskis included!"

Demi, who shares Tallulah with Bruce Willis, was among the many people who commented on the post to share their support. "I am so proud of you!" she wrote. "People often can only reflect their own fear. Be you in all your forms and keep shining your gorgeous glorious light!"

Other commenters included Tallulah's stepmother, Emma Willis, who wrote, in part, that she was "so sorry" that Tallulah had to deal with that.

Tallulah opened up in 2014 about how she "struggled" with her self-esteem when she was younger and how she was diagnosed with body dysmorphia "[because of] reading those stupid fucking tabloids when I was like 13, feeling like I was just ugly, always." She later said she "punished" herself for looking more like her father than her mother.

"I resented the resemblance as I believed wholly my 'masculine' face was the sole reason for my unlovability," she wrote in a 2021 Instagram post. "FALSE! I was/am inherently valuable and worthy, at any life stage, at any size, with anyhair do! (As are you). You need to soothe the wound within your soul before trying to 'fix' the outsides," she added.
