If you were hoping to see Daniel Radcliffe in the upcoming Harry Potter series, you might not want to hold your breath.
The actor obviously had a huuuuge role playing The Boy Who Lived in the film adaptation, but after a decade of playing Potter, he says he thinks Max will go in a new direction for the show.
"I doubt very much that they will [ask]," he told Entertainment Tonight when asked about a possible cameo on the show. "It seems to me that they are wanting to make a fresh series, which it feels like it'd be distracting to have old, haggard Harry also entering from stage left."

Daniel clarified that he's "certainly not seeking" to be on the show, either, but he did say he's "very supportive" of the new iteration of Potter.
"I wish particularly, obviously, the kids nothing but the best," he said of the cast. "I hope I get to meet them one day, I guess, and be like, 'Are you OK? How's it going?'"
Daniel then mentioned how great it was working with his former costars, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, and said he wished that same experience for the new cast. "I hope that they're able to achieve that on the new series 'cause I really think that's one of the things that allowed it to be such a good time and such a safe place to grow up," he said. "The whole thing really felt like a big family. I encourage whoever's making it to try and make it feel like that again."
So far, the official cast of Harry Potter has not yet been shared, but the show is expected to air sometime between 2025 and 2026.
