I seriously don’t understand all the zealousness and attacking behavior of the comments. The maker of the list didn’t try to say that all the things listed above was ‘Turkish’, he clearly states that those beautiful places are ‘in’ Turkey.
About the genocide comments, history has its shameful moments but for a movement to be an official genocide, it should involve the purpose to get rid of that ethnicity totally.(ie. Hitler and Native American genocide) None of those movements had a clear intention of wiping the minorities off the land. It’s easy to say one thing but having proof is another.
About stealing the land from its former inhabitants, clearly you should be 3 years old to be able to say that. There were wars and at the time it resulted in a victory for one side. It’s over, nobody stole anything from anyone it was back in the time all empires had an expansion policy ‘through out the world’. Obviously there might be adaptations and internalization of the previous cultures but this isn’t something to be angry about, instead people should appreciate the mosaic all together.
