Which Strange Exotic Fruit Are You?

You are a prickly pair or a cactus fruit. You're super vibrant, full of magnesium, and go great on salads. You're found on Opuntia cactus and are native to the Americas.

Prickly pear

You're super sweet and you're a significant source of vitamin C, go you! You're native to Central and South America and your papain is used to tenderise meat which makes you very useful.

Papaya

You're hard on the inside and covered in hairy spikes, but once someone gets to know your inside they will find that you are light, fleshy and very sweet. In Vietnam you're called a chôm chôm which means "messy hair", this is due to the spines covering your skin. What a nickname!

Rambutan

You are huge, you can weigh up to 30kg and 90cm in length! You are native to South and Southeast Asia and you're distinctively sweet. You are also the national fruit of Bangladesh, which is pretty cool.

Jackfruit

You're also known as Salak and you come from Java and Sumatra in Indonesia. You have snake-like brown, scaly skin which contains three pods of fruit which all have a large inedible seed. You taste a little bit acidic and you're kinda crunchy.

Snakefruit

You're also called the Chinese bayberry and you tolerate acidic soils, good for you! You're pretty old and have been growing in south-central China for over 2000 years.
