New York, Nov. 8 – Chase, BuzzFeed, Run DMC, and the New York Knicks are coming together to open a limited-edition pop-up “Pizza Joint” to celebrate New York’s greatest traditions and fuel excitement for the return of Knicks basketball today through Nov. 22 at 63 Clinton Street in New York City.
The Pizza Joint is a two-week activation in the Lower East Side, where the iconic pizzeria Speedy Romeo will be transformed into a haven for Knicks fans and a tribute to the legendary hip-hop group Run DMC. By covering the space with vintage Knicks footage and retro collectibles, the Pizza Joint gives New Yorkers the opportunity to take a step back into an epic time for one of the NBA’s most storied franchises and enjoy a taste of old school New York.
The pop-up will feature dedicated programming to appeal to all types of Knicks fans throughout its run. Fans can sign up in advance for special events including:
Basketball and Bedazzling (Nov. 12): Fans can bedazzle their favorite gear and watch the game with Kerin Rosegold, famed crafter and bedazzler to the stars including Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Beyonce and more.
Knicks Show and Tell (Nov. 13): Fans of all ages will showcase their beloved Knicks memorabilia for a panel of surprise judges hosted by Yoni Lotan.
Knicks Dating Night (Nov. 18): An opportunity for Knicks fans to bond over their shared qualities of resilience, loyalty, style and confidence hosted by Yoni Lotan.
Knicks Trivia and Jock Jams Karaoke (Nov. 19): Flaunt your Knicks knowledge and belt out your favorite retro soundtrack among die-hard fans hosted by Casey Jost and Yoni Lotan.
The Pizza Joint will be serving up individual slices from its “A Legendary Slice” stand, featuring specialty New York-themed slices such as “I’m Walking Here” and “The Garden.” Chase cardholders who buy a slice will get one free, and the first twenty Chase cardholders to purchase a slice each day will receive complimentary merch, such as an exclusive, limited edition rally towel or sweatband. Customers can also enjoy a complete meal with a fully immersive experience in the restaurant and Knicks-named menu items. As an additional perk for Chase cardholders, the typically crowded pop-up will keep two tables open for Chase cardholder walk-ins on a rolling basis.

The Pizza Joint is presented by BuzzFeed and Chase as an extension of their traditional partnership into their first-ever experiential activation together. This unique experience is just the latest highlight of Chase’s partnership with the New York Knicks, which started in 2010.
