BuzzFeed Announces Newsmaker Speaker Series “BuzzFeed Brews”

    Editor-in-Chief Ben Smith Will Interview Senator Marco Rubio At First Event

    New York, January 28, 2013 – Social news leader BuzzFeed announced today it is launching a newsmaker speaker series where members of the BuzzFeed Politics team will interview Washington newsmakers in the nation's capital. Through this live event series, BuzzFeed will bring together its acclaimed political coverage rooted in the social online conversation and important figures in American government.

    BuzzFeed's Washington Bureau Chief John Stanton will emcee and Ben Smith will interview Senator Marco Rubio for the first event on Tuesday, February 5. BuzzFeed will livestream BuzzFeed Brews on YouTube and attendees and viewers and encouraged to live Tweet, give commentary or ask questions using #buzzfeedbrews on Twitter.
