...which he happened to pick up while traveling to the far distant future (aka the year 2015).
Well now, thanks to Lexus, hoverboards exist....
...and, yes, you can actually ride them and bring out your inner-Marty McFly.
The hoverboard floats with the use of liquid nitrogen-cooled superconductors and magnets.
There is one catch: since the board relies on magnetic levitation to float, it needs to run on a magnetic track.
But unlike Marty's hoverboard in BTTF II, this board actually floats on water.
