Gen X'ers Are Sharing The Unglamorous Adult Things That They Love To Do, And That Young People Would Not Appreciate Doing

One day you're looking forward to raging all weekend, then all of sudden, nothing sounds better than organizing your house all weekend while wearing sweats and listening to songs you listened to in high school.

When you're young, there is nothing more boring than doing mundane everyday things. You probably remember thinking, Who the hell wants to go the run errands or clean their house on a Saturday morning?

However, as you get older, you start to appreciate things like a movie night in over going out to crowded club on a Friday night. And that's what Reddit user TinktheChi had in mind when he shared this tweet in the Gen X subreddit about the "boring" things that are great when you're 40-plus.

"Some people think your forties are boring but later today we are going to Costco and getting an entire case of this green tea that I tried last weekend and really enjoyed."

This started a discussion within the thread where Gen X'ers shared the simple things they love doing now that they're older. Here are some of the top and best comments:

1. "When I was a teenager, my parents were like, 'Get in the car. We’re going to Costco today,' and I couldn’t think of anything more boring. These days, I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday."
