JoJo Siwa Fans Came To Her Defence After A Video Of Her Candy Themed-Bedroom Sparked A Debate About Her Age

"Let her live her life. Just 'cause she's 17 doesn't mean she is still not a kid."

I think you probably already know who JoJo Siwa is by now.

If you don't, she's a pretty big deal. After appearing on our screens in TV shows such as Dance Moms back in 2015, the 17-year-old has gone on to amass a ton of followers, including 22 million of them on TikTok.

And it's fair to say that her brand is pretty damn strong. It involves a lot of colour, a lot of bows, and a lot of energy.

The brand is so strong that to celebrate her birthday on Tuesday, she decided to throw a JoJo Siwa-themed party, which included plates, napkins, cups, cakes, juice, ice cream, and cookies, all with her face on them. A very casual flex!

JoJo has previously shown off the inside of her house too and it's exactly as you'd expect — bold, sparkly, and full of candy.

In fact, candy is a running theme and her bedroom is even more extra than you can imagine.

For reference, this is what JoJo's old bedroom looked like. Yep, that's a bed with a unicorn slide attached to it.

And this is what her bedroom looked like after it was refurbished, JoJo Siwa bed sheets included.

    Now, it looks like this...

In a recent TikTok video that was part of a challenge to show off something in your room that nobody else has, JoJo joked: "Honestly my whole bedroom. There's over 4,000 pounds of candy in it!"

From the cushions to the dresser to the bedside table, literally everything is candy-themed.

    Even the goddamn ceiling!

People were quick to jump to JoJo's defence though after negative comments popped up, with one calling her "spoiled" and another questioning why she "still acts like this" now she's 17 years old.

"Let her live her life," one fan responded. "Just cause she's 17 doesn't mean she is still not a kid."

This isn't the first time that people have commented on JoJo's age, but the teenager hasn't let the negativity get her down.

Responding to persistent comments asking if she was forced to put on an act because she's under contract, JoJo jumped on TikTok to remind everyone that she's in control of her life.

So I guess that's that on that!
