Allison Janney Met The Duchess Of Cambridge While Barefoot And Called Her "Honey," So She's Our New Hero

"I called her honey, and that might not have been royal etiquette."

You probably know that Allison Janney is winning all of the awards right now for her supporting role in I, Tonya. And if you didn't, well you do now.

And after winning the BAFTA, Allison was pictured leaving a party barefoot, having ditched her heels.

Recently appearing on the The Late Late Show, Allison told James Corden that what we didn't see was the moment she met Prince William and Kate while still barefoot!

"I did meet Kate and William, and she was in her heels and pregnant, so I felt like a bit of a wimp that I was there in my bare feet."

To make the moment a little more awkward, Allison then called Kate "honey", which she said "might not have been royal etiquette".

I think we can safely assume the Queen doesn't call Kate honey, but you never know!

But even though the encounter was a tiny bit awkward, Allison complimented the couple, saying: "They were lovely. They loved I, Tonya and it was a pretty cool thing to meet them."

Frankly, after that run-in, I'd be surprised if Kate didn't call up Allison and ask her to be godmother to the new baby.
