Homemade Starship Enterprise: Star Trek Enthusiast Recreates Iconic Ship

This may look like a regular family home, but the basement contains a surprising secret. Line Rainville has spent £16,000 transforming an entire floor of her house in Quebec, Canada, into a homage to seminal sci-fi series Star Trek. The 52-year-old Trekkie’s home includes replicas of the Starship Enterprise’s bridge, transporter room, recreation room - and even Spock’s quarters. Rainville, a social worker, fell in love with the franchise as a nine-year-old girl and grew up watching the show with her father. Images of her creation have been shared around the world, with actor George Takei - who played Sulu in the original Star Trek series - posting it on his Facebook page, much to Line’s delight.
