Which D&amp;D Class Should You Choose?

Wizards are powerful and intelligent and totally unappreciated. There are hundreds of spells that do any number of useful and astounding things, but most of the time you’ll just be asked to stand out of the way and cast fireball after fireball at the bad guys. Nobody cares about the wizard. Ingrates.

Wizard

Druids are shrouded in mystery, which makes them pretty alluring. They can commune with nature, and are powerful spell casters, but none of that matters because THEY CAN SHAPE-SHIFT INTO BEARS. GOD. DAMNED. BEARS. HOW’S THAT FOR ALLURING?!

Druid

Clerics are the single most unappreciated member of any team of adventurers. Most people think that clerics just hang around in the back and heal the people who are actually doing all the hard work, which they do, but they also do a bunch of other cool stuff too! Like… um…

Cleric

Bards are a support class, which means they do a lot of things, but they don’t do a lot of things very well. Bards are best known for their musical abilities, which despite how it sounds, is actually pretty helpful when push comes to shove. There’s something about a pounding beat that really amps up a battle.

Bard

Monks are cool, because in the official D&D rule book, their fists are classified as weapons. Pretty baller. Monks are either sneak ninjas who strike from darkness and disappear into shadows, or they can control the elements like something out of _Avatar: The Last Airbender_. Either option is awesome.

Paladins are holy warriors who adhere to a strict sense of honor and code of conduct, and because of that, are easy targets for DMs to pick on. When you make big claims about your unshakable faith, you’d better believe a DM is going to grab onto that faith and shake it like hell.

Paladin

Barbarians are a classic of the fantasy genre. Big, strong, and not all that bright, barbarians are usually the first to charge into any battle. Trying to keep track of a bunch of magic spells and fancy robes can be tough. Barbarians don’t mess with spells, or clothes. All you need is a battle-ax and something to hit it with.

Barbarian

A fighter does exactly what it says on the tin. They fight. Unlike barbarians, they come equipped with more than just a loincloth. They’re less shoutey and more insightful. Fighters are the things that get in the way of enemy attacks so that magic users can actually survive long enough to be useful.

Look at you! You’re a regular Katniss Everdeen! Except more racist! Rangers have something called "favored enemies", which essentially means there’s one race they love killing more than other races. You can also have a pet, who you can imprint on to become a furry little blood-thirsty bigot.

Ranger

In a rogues mind, they’re cool and brooding. Never offering too much, and always maintaining a hint of mystery. To everyone else, they’re the quiet emo kids, off sulking by themselves in the corner. Whatever. Nobody even understand you.
