22 Facts That I Find Interesting, But Also Horrible

Everything was so much better before I put together this list.

    1. It's 100% possible for you to throw up poop.

It's called feculant vomiting and can happen when there's a blockage in the intestines.

Many of these errors are caused by illegible prescriptions or dosage recommendation.

Immune responses like swelling and temperature raising can damage the eye, so the eye has its own immune response separate from your immune system.

Dog mouths aren't necessarily cleaner than human mouths, but you have a much smaller chance of picking up harmful germs from a dog than you do another human.

    5. The bodies of those who drown in Lake Tahoe seldom decompose and seldom rise to the surface.

This is also true of Lake Superior. The lakes are too cold for bacteria to live, so there is nothing to decompose the bodies. When they drown, the lungs fill up with water, and the body sinks. In other waters, bacteria would start decomposing the body, making it rise. Where bacteria can't thrive, the body stays sunk.

    6. Fir trees can grow in human lungs.

A 28-year-old patient named Artyom Sidorkin reportedly inhaled the seed of a fir tree, which had sprouted and grown in his lung. Doctors thought they were dealing with a tumor and were stunned when they made the discovery.

    7. There's a 1 in 3 chance police will never identify your killer if you're murdered in the US.

Not only are the seats sometimes cloth cushions, but also bed bugs are attracted to the amount of CO2 expelled in movie theaters. They can get into these places by attaching to people's bags or clothes, who unknowingly carry them in.

    9. Before 1987, doctors would operate on babies without anesthesia partially because they didn't think babies could feel pain.

    That's over 684 per day.
