4. The story behind Moony (Lupin), Padfoot (Sirius), Wormtail (Pettigrew), and Prongs (James Potter).

Warner Bros. /

Black, Pettigrew, and Potter all became Animagi to join Lupin when he transformed into a werewolf.

5. Winky the house-elf and her drinking problem.

She belonged to the Crouch family, but was dismissed by Barty Crouch Sr. after being found holding a wand in the forest when the Dark Mark was cast at the Quidditch World Cup. She relocated to Hogwarts, but suffered from depression and picked up a serious Butterbeer-drinking problem.

13. When Marietta tells Umbridge about Dumbledore's Army, not Cho Chang.

Warner Bros.

Hermione jinxed the D.A. signup list, and anyone who ratted them out would have "SNEAK" pimpled on their face, which is what happened to Marietta.

15. The prophecy and the fact that Neville could have been the Chosen One.

Warner Bros.

"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches... Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives... The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies."

The description fits both Harry and Neville.

16. When Harry is completely devastated from losing Sirius and he takes it out on Dumbledore.

Warner Bros.

Harry gets so angry that he smashes Dumbledore's possessions to deal with his grief.

Riddle's mother, Merope, married and had a child with a Muggle man who was tricked and put under a love potion. Voldemort cannot love because he was conceived from a loveless union.

21. The fight between Tonks and Lupin about their relationship.

"You see!" Tonks said in a strained voice. "She still wants to marry him, even though he's been bitten! She doesn't care!"

"It's different," said Lupin, barely moving his lips and suddenly looking tense. "Bill will not be a full werewolf. The cases are completely-"

"But I don't care either, I don't care!" said Tonks, seizing the front of Lupin's robes and shaking them. "I've told you a million times..."

"I've said all along you're taking a ridiculous line on this, Remus."

"I am not being ridiculous," said Lupin steadily. "Tonks deserves someone young and whole."

"But she wants you," said Arthur Weasley with a small smile. "And after all, young and whole men do not necessarily remain so."

22. When Harry yelled at Lupin in Grimmauld Place, but was later named Teddy Lupin's godfather.

Warner Bros.

Despite their very upsetting argument about fatherhood, Lupin delivered the happy news to Harry at Bill and Fleur's beach house.

26. S.P.E.W. and the real kiss between Ron and Hermione.

Warner Bros.

"Hang on a moment!" said Ron sharply, "We've forgotten someone!"

"Who?" asked Hermione.

"The house-elves, they'll all be down in the kitchen, won't they?"

"You mean we ought to get them fighting?" asked Harry.

"No," said Ron seriously, "I mean we should tell them to get out. We don't want any more Dobbies, do we? We can't order them to die for us—"

There was a clatter as the basilisk fangs cascaded out of Hermione's arms. Running at Ron she flung them around his neck and kissed him full on the mouth. Ron threw away the fangs and broomstick he was holding and responded with such enthusiasm that he lifted Hermione off her feet.

29. The full explanation in King's Cross by Dumbledore.

Warner Bros.

They left out some key info, specifically the part about Voldemort using Harry's/Lily's blood to resurrect himself and it actually being a big mistake on his part.

30. When Voldemort's curse backfired in the Great Hall (because the Elder Wand cannot harm its true master) and he falls to the ground, resulting in the human death Tom Riddle was so afraid of.

31. When Harry goes to Dumbledore's study after the battle and fixes his first wand with the Elder Wand in Deathly Hallows.

Warner Bros. / Paramount Pictures

Harry is met by applause and cries when he sees Dumbledore in his portrait. He then repairs his wand and returns the Elder Wand to Dumbledore's grave.

BONUS: A lot of people said they wished they had seen Dudley's good-bye to Harry. It's actually a deleted scene.
