Literature And How It Can Make The World A Better Place
Literature has been in society for thousands of years, helping ancient man communicate thoughts and ideas with one another. It can make us feel emotions from its text, like joy and sadness. Great literature doesn't just make our feelings from the inside change but it can also make our feelings from the outside change as well, for example on parts that make you sad you will most likely cry, on parts that make you scared you will feel compelled to be terrified, getting goosebumps throughout your body. Emotions are a big part of what makes us human and literature can aid us in this, by making us feel them more often and helping us improve upon them, in which will make us better people. Three books and one play that helped inspire me in life and that I am sure will also help the world are We Share Everything by Robert Munsch, The Fourth Stall by Chris Rylander, Boy in the Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne and Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare.
