8 Fun Facts About "Steven Universe" That You Haven't Seen In The Show

    We spoke with Rebecca Sugar about her hit show, Steven Universe, and she shared some fun facts and trivia with us about characters in the show.

    1. Steven would beat all of the Crystal Gems at video games, even Garnet with her future vision.

    Rebecca Sugar: Steven's really good at all video games...in real life I can't beat my brother at any video game.

    2. If the Crystal Gems attended Hogwarts, Ruby would be in Hufflepuff, Sapphire in Ravenclaw, and Garnet in Gryffindor.

    RS: [Ruby's] a grunt! When [Ruby and Sapphire] are together, they become a Gryffindor.

    3. Rebecca Sugar would cast Steven's voice actor, Zach Callison, as Steven in a live-action.

    RS: Definitely Zach, Zach is the only Steven that is truly Steven. I can't imagine anyone else doing that voice.

    4. Jasper would play the drums in a Crystal Gem band.

    RS: She would probably play the drums because it would be very hands on.

    5. Connie would have a teal-colored gem.

    RS: If Connie were a gem, I think she would be a gem that is teal...she has the diplomatic skills of blue gem, but she also is able to take action...she would be a gem that would be between blue and green.

    6. Steven's dad brings him groceries, even though they don't live together.

    7. Greg and Garnet play tennis together on the weekends.

    RS: I was talking with Lamar awhile ago about how Garnet might go off and play tennis with Greg sometimes. That's already floating out there somewhere, so if you're a real diehard you would've found it!

    8. We'll never know if Onion has any reoccurring dreams or nightmares, because even Rebecca Sugar herself doesn't know what goes on in his head.
